As a high school teacher and a parent of three elementary children, I can tell you that increasing class size would be devastating for students. Elementary teachers are already pressed to train students to outperform last year's class on multiple standardized tests, while creativity and life skills fall by the wayside. How about this? Why don't we suspend testing for a couple of years and use that money to pay the teacher's salaries?
