A couple of weeks ago there was a 17 year old boy beat and left for dead on the railroad tracks in Splendora...I have heard that Austin Rice was one of the men that beat that boy and hit him in head with a hatchet. When will they get Austin Rice off the streets. This is not his first attack on a person, he is violent, and a thief. Please someone get him off the streets before he kills someone next time.

UYes, it was Austin, however; once again thanks to the fine investigative techniques of local law enforcement, he's going to walk. Between that and their habit of letting him off on violent crimes in return for snitching on local drug-heads, he seems to get a free pass. It's high time the people of Splendora banded together and insisted something be done. This guy is a menace that needs to be handled.

Par for the course! In most states (Texas not included) violent criminals are prosecuted tot he fullest extent of the law because it is the duty of the law enforcement and justice courts to ensure the safety of the general public. However, in Texas the most violent of criminals often become snitches (unpaid employees of the police force) and are put back into society where they can continue, unchecked, their modus operandi.

As a Christian I cannot comprehend the justification for putting extremely violent criminals back on the street so they can turn snitch on non-violent drug users.

Wasn't long ago Texas had a governor (our former President) who was snorting cocaine during The War On Drugs. It's a shame that Austin Rice couldn't have assisted in nabbing that criminal so that the rest of America would still have our economy, our jobs, our constitution and our once-great reputation.

I remember growing up in Splendora in the 70s and 80s when this kind of behavior was unheard of. These days, the once-great community is wrought with criminal behavior and a lower class of citizens who obviously have neither the guts nor the incentive to elect more responsible local government leadership.

A criminal in Mt. Home, AR with Austin Rice's reputation would go to the Big House in Calico Rock while the same such criminals in Texas are sent back into the public sector or to Washington D. C.

That's why they call us the UNITED States ..... because were are so wholly united.

Thats ok, I did see in the paper he is wanted for outstanding warrants. He will only get away with this for so long, God has a way of making dealing with people like Austin Rice. I see where he put free pass, we should all report his posting, as I know I am ASAP. He only gets away with what we let him. As you can see above....exactly what we were talking about, free pass run out buddy.

It's ok. He will eventually mess with the wrong person's child. Or try and attack the wrong person. Like me or any of my friends.

You have probably not talked to the right person, because from what I hear Montgomery County detectives are the best, keep on trying.

You get in life what you give. You can only live like that for so long and something bad this way will come. It's how it is. Austin Rice will one day get repaid for all his wrongs.

Hey Jek Just heard it on the news they were at a house on 787 in Liberty County near Cleveland . Something about one of the missing persons and that they said they would not come out. They said they are 6 or 7 wanted felons in the trailer house, possibly a bomb was believed to be found in the trailer. Let you know tomorrow what happened.
