In our neck of the woods, the dirt roads are not being graded properly. I know this may sound trivial to those who do not have to live on a dirt road, but our roads are not safe. The road is naturally narrow enough as it 'tis. He digs out deep ditches too frequently. Subsequently this is making the road even more bumpy, narrow, littered with broken glass, large roots and sharp metal. In other words it's just down-right dangerous. Our grader seems to care nothing for our welfare. We've seen some near head-on collisions and T-bone's at a near-by insection. Mostly because of what I stated above and throw careless driving into the mix! Well, there you are.
The incompetant road crew situation seems to be pretty much countywide. We've called our County Commissioner, Mr. Jim Dennison, as frequently as possible. He does send the grader back out to regrade, but it's getting tiresome. For the grader(s) to keep having to redo what should have been done right the first time is not cost effective. This has to be costing all us Pierce County residents unnecessary fuel and payroll costs for the County. This all comes out of our pockets.
All we ask is for a competant road grader to make the road safe and who knows how to work the soil. Perhaps this is asking too much of a government employee in this age.
Those are my thoughts on the matter. Thank you for listening.
