I'm very proud of you.I never called you a liar.Out of curiosity, where might one find your work published? As I'm sure you know to obtain a Master's Degree, your work has to be published in a few periodicals.

Not me bud, I claim my post. However I do agree with what he's saying. If you go to the appropriate court department with the suspects name, you can sign charges against the person.

If an officer takes your word for it and signs the charges, and the suspect can prove he wasn't involved... That officer would could be civilly liable. I wish it didn't happen this way but people in the past have attempted to use the police to do their dirty work for them.

You should try to pursue charges yourself. You don't go through an officer, you go through a court clerk.

This is very true. Police officers or Sheriff's deputies cannot stop any citizen from signing an affidavit against another citizen. However, the judge has the final decision as to whether there is sufficient probable cause based on that affidavit to issue an arrest warrant. However, no judge worth his gavel will issue a warrant unless the affidavit is properly filled out (complete identifying information for the possible defendant). So the affiant needs to make sure all that information is available before signing an affidavit.

I don't know the a**hole, therefore I don't know his name. all i have is a tag number, descriiption of a vehicle, and description of the suspect. And the last time I checked, when you try to kll someone, that is attempted murdr, which is a felony. As for you, Mr. Also, I'm not arguing with ou anymore. You don't know me or anything about me. I know what degree I have and don't havetoprove it to anyone: but for your information, there are a few schools that offr Master's degrees that are more focused on real life applcation of the rofession studied, and therefore, do not require the student to publish. My degree is one of those.

to Mr also. You think you're being slick. Look up the word apocryphal, which you used in reference to my education. Apocrphal means doubtful. You doubt that I have a Master's degee: i. e., you called me a liar. Then yo lie about calling me a liar. Of course, only an educated person would know the meaning of such a word. Wait, that's right, even google can mke idiots like you look smart.

Actually there is no such crime as attempted murder in the state of Mississippi. The appropriate charge for that type of incident would be Aggravated Assault.

And what makes you an expert in the law? I have read in newspapers in MS where "insert name" was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison; so don't tell me there is no such charge as attempted murder in Mississippi.

There is no such statute in MS. I wouldn't go with the newspapers as such a credible source.

Go to mscode.com and use section 97 then 3 and see for yourself. Attempted murder isn't in the books.

Well then, I guess in the backwoods of MS the judge and D.A.. can charge you with whatever he wants, regardless if it's on the books or not.

Correction OB. You can have an attempted murder charge in MS however the penalty is not as severe as if they were charged with agg assault. So most agencies will pursue agg assault charges instead.

That's f*cked up. Aggravated assault gets u more time than attempted murder? What about attempted vehicular homicide? This douchebag tried to run me over with his truck.

Everyone knows a bike is no match for a truck. I was doing triple digits trying to get away from him and he chased me from Diamondhead all the way to BSL. I guess for those of you who don't ride, you just don't understand how serious this is.

Anyone else tired of hearing this crap? Ok, we all get it, you are an educated man with a great job and nice home. But when you are on here constantly bragging about all you have in one sentence then looking to fight in another, you just sound ignorant. The police can't be every where. As a bike rider myself, I can understand your frustration. You are not alone but making idle threats doesn't solve anything. WPD and BPD are just following policy.
