An open letter to Jeff Harding

I just read your recent comments about my wife's (Bay Saint Louis Deputy Police Chief Christine deBouchel) use of her city issued vehicle while she is out of work as a result of an on duty injury. I'm curious to know how that is going to cause you a tax increase at all? According to Mississippi Workmen's Comp laws, the city is liable to provide either transportation (her vehicle) or mileage for any travel necessary relative to her on duty injury. Because the city chose to take back the vehicle, they will now be liable for all mileage claims. Are you also aware that she was in fact given permission to use her city issued vehicle for purposes relative to her on duty injury? In the month and a half that my wife has been out of work, and despite numerous Doctor's appointments and pharmacy runs, her city issued vehicle has not had it's gas tank filled a single time. According to the 2014 IRS mileage rates of .56 cents per mile, a single Doctor's visit will now cost the city $33.60 at a minimum. Your ignorance, Jeff Harding, is money well spent. Here is another instance of the "supposed" leaders (some of which were actually elected) stepping over $50 bills while trying to save nickels.
If you have any further questions regarding my wife's on duty injury, or additional ways you or your allied city leaders can save nickels, feel free to contact me. Simply show this letter to Bay Saint Louis Police Chief Mike Denardo and he will be happy to provide you with my telephone number and address. You seem to have ample free time to burn, but you'll have to get me in the evenings, as I actually work for a living. Are you honestly concerned with saving Bay Saint Louis money Jeff Harding? Or are you simply bitter that you lost miserably in the last Mayoral election?
