So sad. Diamondhead needs a casino to bring jobs and income to the city. It is time to use our location the I-10 corridor to bring in revenue. This town will die if it cannot get a consensus of what is best for all. Changes is necessary to survive. Zoning must change to face reality. People on this zoning commission have not been elected they do not represent the people of Diamondhead. The new administration must appoint people with strategic thinking.

Take a look at the businesses moving to diamondhead, family dollar, dollar general, and the goodwill store. This along with more liquor stores. These businesses are geared towards a certain income group an they realize what is going to happen in diamondhead and Hancock county. There is no major businesses coming to either. Hancock county is becoming the ghetto of the gulf coast. The only places for young people to work is in fast food or gas stations so they are forced to leave. The people of diamondhead claim they are patriots yet they do nothing for the future of their city or their young people by trying to grow. These people are throwing jobs at us and we are refusing them. After Katrina the people of diamondhead laughed about new Orleans and now new Orleans is one of the top spots for business and property values are skyrocketing while diamondhead becomes a slum. The new city council of diamondhead will determine the future (or lack thereof) on the 16th, let's hope they decide properly.

Diamondhead POA needs to go.If everyone would stop paying POA fees they would have to go bankrupt. The POA is strictly a business and if you see otherwise you are a fool.Lets band together and stop paying the fees. The City will take over if the POA goes bankrupt hence we can get ride of the POA.

Completely agree with Tim. If we all refuse to pay POA dues they will go away. The POA is unecesary to the future of Duamondhead, it is only a hindrance.
