I am so glad that FEMA is asking backing for monies obtain by false information given, and should be arrested just like anyone else who commit a crime. The crime they did, is call stealing.
I do admit that some folks did indeed lost everything. However I personally know of people who claim that they lost their home when indeed these homes were abandon, no light,no gas,no running water no nothing but an old house.

I have call the fraud line many many occasions. It is time that these people pay back.

THANK YOU FEMA

I dont think that alot of it is fraud. Fema came without me calling, I told them I had insurance that already paid me and about 2 weeks later had a check for $6000. I called and tried to send it back and they told me to keep it. I kept it in an account for over a year and then used it for home rapairs. How is this my fault? I did everything I could to 1. not get the money and 2. return the money.

I would support the prosecution of the individuals who used 'FRAUD' to acquire FEMA funds. This list would include but not limited to individuals who did not have it as a primary residence, 2nd homes/camps, did not live in the state, paid no income tax to the state, did not have a drivers license in the state, or used the funds for not the required purpose (ie: rebuilding/reparing home). There are many examples of these and more cases that need to be resolved.

If FEMA paid more than it should have paid due to their error and not fraudulent activities these funds should not have to be repaid.

Just my 2 cents
