Wanted to let everyone know that Bamboo Bernies would not let a paraplegic man in wheelchair with a Ravens jersey, hat and backpack on his wheelchair into the bar last Friday night because they are a Steelers bar!

I find that very hard to believe since my wife and I were there for the game on Sunday and there was a mixed crowd of Raven's and Steeler fans.

It was on Friday night 9/24. You must be a Steelers fan to travel all the way from Bel Air just to go to Bamboo Bernies.

If I remember correctly, they have a more formal/business attire dress policy on Friday nights. I can say, it has nothing to do with him being in a wheelchair or being a Raven fan.

This bar does host the Steeler Fan Club on game-days when the Steelers play, but they have never excluded fans of other teams.

Sounds like it was more the bouncer (small guy with little man syndrome)...... but we will be hearing more as the news has picked up on it and will be investigating and doing story as well as the other organizations in the county.

Could be just an arrogant bouncer, but I don't think it has anything to do with the gentleman being a Raven fan. Its not a Steeler bar, however they are recognized as a Steeler fan club in terms of game-days, hosting many Steeler faithful, who have teken up residence their after Shooters in Severna Park switched hands and the Purple Moose changed to a different type of bar/club.
