I go to severn. Im not rich. my mom went back to work so now both of my parents are working double jobs to send me somewhere to get a good education. True: there are some kids there that have more money than god. But a large amount of the student body is made up of children from standard middle-class families. The fact that everyone else thinks that all kids at Severn are spoiled brats just, in turn, makes you looks like a douche. I appreciate where I go and how hard my parents are working to get me there and I am even going to go to an In-State College so the cost of college is less because they've already given enough for me. So anyone who thinks that everyone is a spoiled brat at Severn, you're a dumbass.

Rich kids like other rich kids who like going to school with each other rich kids and comparing how rich they with each other.
Severn deserves what they teach and they act like they are priviledged persons but they only spend lots of money on school when they have one of the best public schools in the country SPHS. But anyone can go teh SPHS so thats why they pay $$$$ and go to Severn School for dummies.

Severn School features well-manicured lawns and appears to be pristine from the outside; within there are are hard-working teachers who are treated like the hired help by a self-serving administration. The school is rotting from within due to the arrogance of the administration, a group of people who could care less that they are trashing a 100-year old tradition of academic rigor, character building, and excellence in education. Severn is run like a Nazi regime: teachers must whisper the truth to one another and live in fear while still being expected to provide a quality education to the students. The school's founders must be rolling over in their graves to see this administration destroying the great school they built. Yet, most of the faculty holds on to the sliver of hope that they can save their school, helping it to rise from the ash heap that will be left over once this current administration is gone. That is, if they can survive long enough to see it. Every teacher in the school knows that he or she is being watched, that spies take in everything they hear and report back to the tyrants who runs the school. Shame on the Board of Trustees for failing to see what is going on.

Whoa, this school sounds like it's being run by the Gestapo. Maybe, that kid hacked into something that incriminated the powers-that-be?

Wow. Why the anger at Severn school? I have been going to this school for three years now and everybody is nice. Nobody is snobby. I do not believe that one should judge something without actually witnessing it. Before you say that we are snobs come and meet us. I am not terribly rich. Nor do I brag about the money that i do have. I just go to Severn School for a good education and a chance to get into Harvard, Princeton, and Oxford.

For all you people complaining about Severn, you obviously are haters and have never attended the school. There are a good majority of the students who go there who aren't rich. I was one of them. My parents sacrificed so that I could get a good education and get into a great college. They did this after seeing my two older siblings get lost in the public school system in Anne Arundel county. And no, they did not get lost because they were bad kids. They were smart kids with talent who had a hard time standing out around other smart kids with talent. At least at Severn I was not only getting the excellent one on one education every kid deserves to have, but I was also able to have opportunities to be involved in drama and athletics that in a public school the competition is much harder. I also had a guidance counselor that knew me by name and about me. Unlike in public school they only know the smart kids or talented athletes or the trouble makers. Because of this I was able to get a scholarship to college that my college counselor told me I would not have stood out as much if in a public school because it is a bigger pool. So unless you jerks know facts, get over it

Not only are you clueless but ignorant as hell. I didn't know Bush signed NAFTA, and the Gramm-Blailey-Leech Bill. Or when Bush was chair of the banking committee and relaxed the Fannie/Freddie lending rules.
"prevented another Depression"? Huh? Were we in a depression? Heading for one? NOPE. But Obama did spend his way to a double-dip recession. Good job Obama. Let's give him a huge pat on the back and two thumbs up for prolonging the recession, quadrupling our deficit (to be doubled again in 10years), and will cost the average tax payer 7-10% Fed tax increases in a couple years.
God damm you are one ignorant clueless blind fcuk. Not wasting my time on someone with blinders on, smokes crack, and drunk on Obama kool-aid. You must live on Clay St or in the projects down Forrest Dr, and an Annapolis HS dropout.

I no longer live in Annapolis, and I'm WAY older than the parents of this child. From my perspective, a criminal must expect that the punishment fit the crime. What the student did was criminal. Expulsion is a logical response.

I can't see how a nuisance lawsuit serves to do anything but say to him that bad behavior is rewarded with outlandish money.

Where are the values which have been taught him? The book of Proverbs says that we should train uip a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Perhaps we could return to the bible's teachings to remedy these occasions of criminality in our kids.
