Nothing like a good ole very corrupt city (something you would expect elsewhere in the SGV). I hope everyone of those scrounges goes to prison for a long long time. The DA should also investigate that former city manager. A worthless old fart.

What a joke. What a fricking joke.Corruption ,25 wedding shops and a partridge in a pear tree. You Temple City politicians ought to be ashamed of yourselves. And unfortunately the same corruption is about to level Hollywood Park and it will also be a vacant hole for the next 10 years.Go to hell Temple City Council, you overweight corrupted dirt bags. You are a disgrace to politics.Go back to your stuffed refrigerators and your stuffed bellies.

All of these indicted people were once good volunteers to their community. What separates them from the rest of us is that they were not able to resist the money and the power (even in little old TC) that came with elected office. The number of people in this town who have NOT gone down that path far outweighs these crooks. We just have to band together, support someone who loves the community more than personal gain, and move forward. I believe we are on the right track. WE MUST LOOK AHEAD. WE MUST REVIVE LAS TUNAS. WE MUST HIRE A DEVELOPMENT PERSON WHO CAN COME UP WITH A PLAN FOR REVITALIZATION!!!!

Temple City used to brag that they were the "real" Mayberry; seems like they were more like Compton in terms of corruption. Charles Martin should do the next perp walk; he was always bragging in the TC Weekly,Arcadia Weekly and TC Life that the city had a surplus because they did not do things the way everyone else did; if they ever get an outside audit of the books 10 to 1 the surplus never existed.

This just gets better and better or worse and worse. Now Carwille, who has a multi-million dollar mattress business and was profiled in this very newspaper last year says he can't afford a lawyer and wants us taxpayers to foot the bill? What gall.

SCOTT CARWILE interferred in my personal family matters which cost me thousands of dollars (had to hire an attorney) and forced me into court, and destroyed my family. I hope his friends and family are reading this.

What goes around, comes around. Now, he is getting a taste of his own medicine.

Scott: Don't try to stick us taxpayers by pleading that you don't have money to hire your own attorney. Do the honorable thing, mortgage your house, and pay your legal bills. Better yet, own up to what you did like Capra and spare us.

Temple City has been and still is a good place to live. The only negative side is that this few political leaders allowed greed and self arrogance to control them. Their hour has come tho. Hopefully the legal system does not fail us and gives punishment were it is due. Lesson to be learned you can't hide anything under the sun for too long. All you say and do will come out at one point or another. When you are correct on all your words and actions than you will never need to face any type of judgement. The big question here is there such a thing as an honest politician?????

It is time for Judy Wong to step down. It is also time for some people to step up and be heard. There has to be "new blood" in the city that are intelligent and community focused. The re-treads need not apply. Temple City needs to go forward with new thinking and shape the city for decades to come. Issues from the "Piazza" , Las Tunas Blvd,Parks, infastructure, crime and many more all need to be addressed. The City needs to work as one with with a focused adgenda.
Mr. Carwile, A Public Defender on the taxpayers dime? Are you kidding me?

For those of you personally attacking Mr. Carwile,do you even know him personally?Well I do and I can tell you he is not even close to the person that is being described.I can tell you that this is a man who will give you the shirt off his back if you are in need. Finally,to the knucklehead who describes Mr Carwile as the owner of a multi-million dollar company,do some research,it not even close to a multi-million dollar company.I should know,I work for Mr.Carwile.

Aloha All,
Please remember that these people are just like you and me. They have families that love them and care for them. Think of them when you write your judgmental words. Think how your body feels when you feel the way you do about this subject. I invite you to pray for them that life will allow them to experience what life wants, not what you want.. Remember reach for the thought that feels the best.. Because truth is we do not know what is absolutely true and leave it at that.

Is it possible Capra and Carwile are just guilty of having bad judgement of character? They fully trusted Cathe, following in all she said and did. Are Tom O'Leary, Jim LaBerthon, and Jerry Siebert next to be dangling from that same rope? Did Chavez see the writing on the wall or did he also swim with the shark? Will Randy show up at the next council meeting? So many questions...

Thank goodness, finally a voice of reason to all the madness that has been posted on the subject. Someone decided to take a step back and look through the story and realize there's more to life on the backside.

As I may or may not have mentioned in my last comment, being formerly employed by Mr. Carwile, would probably make my opinion of him a bit more substantial than the others posted.By the way, even the terrorists at Guantanamo know why they are there.

A Carwille employee posts to defend him? So the guy is a business owner, owns a home, sends his children to pricey private schools, yet he can't afford his own lawyer? He wants the taxpayers to foot the bill. I agree with the lady who said for him to own up to it like Capra did. Run them all out of town afterwards, especially Carwille who did it all because he was Cathe's follower. All this could have been avoided if instead of shaking down developers, manipulating elderly widows, and planning his dirty deeds, if instead Scott and his pals remembered, if in trouble, you can always...
