As a large man I've been in situations, where ones strength can cause a bodily harm.....I send the families of both men my deepest sympathy for their loss and their problems.

Its sad. Just a lost of life over a few words. Four years for involuntary manslaughter?.. wow my cousin got 15 years for sitting in a car when his friends stabbed some guy and he witnessed. Justice may seem simple but complex in so many ways.. sigh'

Juan Pedroarena was no friend of Tony's. There wasn't time to intervene. Just name calling and "POW". Juan hit Tony and Tony hit the pavement. Tony never had a chance. So many families ruined. A 28 year old widow with a 3 week old baby. For what..."quien es mas macho?". Grow up gentlemen. You are not in high school any more. Tony and his wife would have celebrated their 2nd anniversary next week.....Just tragic..

Just Tragic -

So true. Tony was looking at the ground when he was punched. That is not a fight people. He was hit with a "Sucker Punch". There was no argument. The puncher left the party earlier and Tony yelled out (as a lot of us have done) "don't be fags" since they were leaving early. This could have been left alone after that.

It was not. This guy comes back and quietly asked Tony "Hey, could I talk to you alone for a second?"
They went to the garage, and the guy punched him AS HE WAS ASKING HIM IF HE HAD MEANT WHAT HE SAID. Tony NEVER got a chance to offer an answer or to even see the punch coming.

Hardly a fight. Just a cowardly act. Tony offense: being drunk at his B Day party at his house.

I did not know him well, but I can see a lot of my friends that are tore up about this.

Four years doesn't seem like a long enough sentence considering he committed a similar offense about a year ago...how is it involuntary manslaughter when he knows what damage his punches can do? He is a known "scrapper" hes never gonna learn his lesson and imagine if he did this at another mans house on his birthday, what else is he capable of when he gets out? Tonys wife and baby will never get to hug him again, but in no time at all "juan" will be out and living his life with his family

I know an account number was being circulated yesterday for the fund created in the baby's name. Does anyone know details about how we can contribute?

You can contribute for her at Wells Fargo, I'd rather not post the account number here because of some of the previous comments but you can get it Saturday at the services or from one of the family friends.

I have the number, thank you. I just didn't know if it was best to stop by the bank to handle it in person or if you can call and have a transfer done. This sort of thing is new to me. Thanks again.

It is such BS that Juan, aka Mickey will get away with a minimum sentence for the damage he has done to everyone who knew this wonderful young man. I had the pleasure of knowing him and his family almost his entire life. This is a young man who would give you his last dime if you asked him to. There was no reason I could even imagine, for Mickey to react in such a violent manner. Apparently not the first time. I feel sorry for the family who has to claim this monster as their own. My heartfelt condolences to Tony's wife, baby, friends to many to number and his entire family for this senseless loss.

I wouldn't give out any information on this blog. Friends and family of Tony know when and where the services are being held. If you don't call one of Tony's friends and they will let you know....

I like most of these postins rather than the ones I saw the other day. Tony was a loving a caring person, he will be missed my many family, friends and others. Our prayers go out to the family and the little baby girl he left behind. May they always be taken care of by God and the amazing family they shared.

For the families of this young man Please find peace in all of your family and friends that have come around you. I am so sorry for you, No one should be punced like that, the other man was a coward he knew that Tony would be the first to go down and then he would make his exit. He has done this before what lesson has he learned. so Tragic I just cant get over it what a shame. No one has respect for life anymore.I will donate to his familys fund...rest in peace dear soul my heart goes out to the parents, wife, child and dear freinds.

Innocent untill proven guilty. His previous fight was considered self defence. If you
did not witness this you have no right to speculate . This could have happened to any one who fights . I'm not trying to justify what happened but I know I have seen many fights that just ended with brusing. Maybe we should all think about this as a sad but serious lesson. Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house
