With all due respect....Meaning I'm not trying to be mean or snotty about it.... Not all crime scene photographs made have anything to scale an item by.
I know it doesn't make sense, but it's true. Only some investigators do anything to show scale. In my opinion, it would be nice if they did, as not everyone who will eventually view the photographs (jurors) will be able to tell that this or that is of the right size or dimentions.
I have seen some crime scene photographs with no scale present at all. For example, change lying on pavement. In my opinion, someone could say it was authentic coins, but without scale, and a very up close shot, we simply just do not know. So, I'm assuming that this is just the photo they released, I'm pretty sure they took OTHERS that showed scale, even though not ALL investigators show scale.
It's OK, I really don't care.
