What do you not understand? When I say "FREE AND APPROPRIATE EDUCATION" I am referring to what is written as law under IDEA, or the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Trust me, if I had an alternative to the public school system for an autistic child in Pasco county, then I would, even if it meant paying. I could use the McKay scholarship, but there are no other schools in Pasco that are capable of caring for an autistic child, other than the public.
Instead of calling the police in a case like this, you would call the ABUSE hotline, then they would open a giant can of worms,(which if it continues, I may do). I am trying to work this through proper channels within the district, but guess what,
there are no laws to protect children from this in Florida schools!
Instead of casting your judgement on me continually, why can't you open your eyes and say, wow, this is a problem, the schools should NOT be able to do this, and we should do something to change things.
What has happenned to my daughter is NOT an isolated event. It happens every day to children across the state.
btw "You are the parent so parent." has absolutely no relevance to this conversation, and only leads other readers to believe that you truly are ignorant.
Then own the can of worms, this is your child.

Holly you are about the most ignorant person to comment. I think you have totally missed the point of this discussion.

In reading your other comments, you seem to want to shift blame to parents in every instance, while NEVER holiding the school or our government accountable for it's actions.

You know I was going to comment back but decided that it's not worth it. So you have a great night and hope all is well with you.
