They should NEVER be let back out. They have proved they can not be CURED from this type of behavior. Only if the bleeding hearts that cry "they deserve another chance; they did their time" would see it! What do I have to say to the bleeding heart liberals....WHATEVER, you are helping the problem!

so it goes with the liberal left agenda. To create a Godless society. That will justify the perverts and queers, perverting logic that we should be more tolerant of this Godlessness. Woe to you who call evil, good and good evil. Wake up for the wrath of God is ready to be poured on your head.

You are so correct we see it every day over & over the system has fail and they keep letting them go free and they keep doing the same crime. I think that any judge that let a creep out and they commit the same crime or another one that judge should do there time with them.

Forget prison. Forget rehabilitation. Forget second, third, or fourth chances. These baby-kidnapping, baby-raping, baby-killing perverts should be executed immediately after the guilty verdict is read. Have a sound-proof room with a drain in the floor right next to the court room. Once the verdict is read, march them in there and head shoot them. Maybe the next time someone gets the idea to snatch an innocent kid, they'll go buy a magazine instead. At least it would cut down on the repeat offenders.

There is the possibility that this kid was going to be held for a ransom. All child kidnappings are not the result of some crazed pedophile. There are criminals who kidnap people for the sole purpose of murdering them or to attempt to collect some type of ransom. In other kidnapping cases, the majority of the time it is another parent due to custody issues. Just because it was a kidnapped kid, doesn't mean the perpetrator was a pedophile.

If law enforcement only concentrates on sex offenders, they might miss the boat. The media is awash in predator hysteria, which might just taint good investigative work. Just my two cents...

Some of these posts are pathetic. Somehow the far right has managed to blame Liberals for this. When in fact it if we are pointing fingers it is them and their zero tolerance policies and mandatory minimums that have filled our prisons with non violent offenders. Resulting in the release of violent offenders that prey on society. Oh yeah and congrats on the zero tolerance arrest and jailing of an 11 yo boy this week for using a sling shot.

There is not a lot of information which is odd since the incident was over 24 hours ago and the kid was gone less than 5 hours. What about a description of the vehicle and the suspect and the usual call crimeline numbers? Very odd! I almost think the kid staged it with the "kidnapper" for attention or stupidity just like the 11 year old hispanic gal did last week who went to the mall alone and went home with a male adult.

This will stop or at least cut down on the number of crimes against children when the punishment fits the crime. How much longer will it take, what can we do to speed the process?

This brave young man was doing the right thing -- refusing to get in the truck -- when the predator pulled a gun. I have read over and over that the advice we were given when we were growing up -- do whatever an armed criminal says -- was wrong (unless he is just asking for your purse or wallet of course), and that any removal from the initial scene of contact actually increases your danger immensely. I decided I would not get into a car even at gunpoint, but would run and yell. But the tough question is, should we be telling our kids that? I don't know.

It's hard to say what nay of us would do...I guess if would depend on the seriousness of the person with the gun. Advising peole and/or kids to run I think is best.

So you think grabbing a kid using a gun who is waiting for a school bus is a nonviolent offender??
Maybe you are one of those guys Dateline caught on tape that was visiting underage girls (and boys) that they met on the Internet. I guess you think thats OK,too.

Huh ? No this scumbag needs to be caught and executed. My response was to those that somehow blamed Liberals for this crime. And judging from your ridiculous accusation I would guess you are part of the right wing numb nuts that blame everyone but the criminal.

It's gruesome to contemplate but I think it's important for people to think ahead of what they would do in such a moment, when I'm sure all rationality tends to leave you. But I know I'd definitely rather take the chance of being shot in a relatively public place rather than being taken somewhere isolated where awful things would happen to me and THEN I'd get shot. Also, I bet that in most instances, the gun is a threat and the kidnapper is not going to increase his own danger by committing an "unsuccessful" murder. I think if I had to do it over again, I'd tell my kids never to get in a car with a stranger no matter what he says or does.
