I often try and strike my father with christmas trees myself. He doesnít like coming to visit me at this time of year. Once I pulled a prickly pine from the ground and threw it at my dad too. I like throwing trees; I have always been interested in the art of tree throwing.
But I donít live with my dad. At 37 you should pretty much be on your own.

Guess it was not like the tree in Charlie Brown's Christmas Special.

Caber Toss comes to mind, maybe he is practicing for the Highland Games?

What was that John Waters film where Divine beat her parents to death with the tree because she didn't get the "Cha-Cha Boots" she wanted for Christmas?

A 37 year old man living with his parents is such a loser. They should kick his butt to the curb. Let him live with his peers at a homeless shelter.

First of all, are there extenuating circumstances? Is he disabled or otherwise handicapped? Is he living with his folks to give them a hand?

Secondly, I think we should all be prepared to hear more and more stories of folks moving back in with Mom and Dad due to this recession.

Just IMHO.

Physically, he's probably in pretty good shape if he can throw a Christmas Tree at somebody. Mentally, on the other hand ...

Throwing a three foot tree nets aggravated assault charges when he didn't even hit his father with it? It seems like there was an over-reaction here, or a few details are missing. This sounds more like attempted assault or simple assault to me. He did pick up the base and try to use it, but...

Is this the same guy that threw the sandwich at his girlfriend? If so that would explain living with his parents.

Or not celebrate the sun worshippers' holiday. Dec. 25 is not the aniversary of Christ's birthday, but the celebration of the "rebirth" of the sun. That is 3 days after the winter solstace when mythology believes the sun has "died."
