The Supeme court ruled on DOMA, therefore making proposition 8 unconstatutional and must be handled again by lower courts. Plus they are now eligable for federal benifits. This according to both CNN and Fox. Then Obama opens his mouth to cause more controversal tension. He said if one state allows gay marriage, then all states should regonize the marriage. That is like saying if one state bans the death penalty then they all should. If one state bans abortion then they all should? If one state says 75 is their speed limit on highways then they all should. If you listen to Obama, you can not help that he wants big government and have the federal government run all the states. This administration wants to control our lives.

If you don't like gay marriage, don't get one. If you don't like abortion, don't have one. But your "moral stance" on these issues do not give you the right to dictate for all how people should live their lives.

Why did you change your name again Lefty. How many times a day do you do that. I have not changed mine on here since I started posting. That's what I'm talking about. No my mon didn't name me that. My first name is Harvey and I added the rest to be the name of a drink. Harvey Wall Banger. That is a name of a drink. If my first name was Jack, I probably would have used the name Jack Black or Jack Daniels. Pretty easy huh. Not for you because you change yours to be concealed from everyone you talk to. Just Sayin. Wow.
I changed my name out of sarcasm, but apparently humor is lost on you. thanks for the informative description on how you arrived at such an ingenious name (sarcasm again). However, in typical republican fashion you attacked me instead of discussing what I said politically. Guess it's hard to argue with the truth.

Sundog....so where have I said people must do what I say? Plus believe it or not, we do live in America and I can voice my opinion. You have no problem voicing yours and when someone disagrees you like to insult them. This whole thread is my proof. You claim that everyone is dumb. Therfore you are all seeing? People have different beliefs and you and others are just as guilty for trying to enforce your beliefs and morals on others. You do it with your insults and you have told people how they should think. So therefore you are no better then the people you call republicans. We all do it time and again when we feel passionate on subjects because we are human. But you go above alot to try to feel superior. This makes you nothing more then a hypocrit. So go ahead and take each line and insult me and prove my point.

Stop being so sensitive. I simply said that if you don't like gay marriage, don't get one. If you don't like abortion, don't have one. That's just a statement of fact.

My point is there are far more important issues in this country that our elected officials should be worried about. I don't give a rat's ass about abortion or gay marriage. Neither one of those things are the least bit important to me. Why do we have to waste so much time on these trivial bullshit issues?

Calling someone dumb is not me trying to force my opinion on someone. It's me expressing my opinion. Sorry you don't know the damn difference.

Sundog.......well you have a different agenda as other people and I agree that those are not the main issues but people do talk about them. The main issues to me is the unemployment and illegals. Then you have a terrible administration all the way around. We have had four brain dead president in a row to help ruin this country. Two Bush combination(thank goodness the first was only 4 years), Clinton and now Obama. To defend any of them would be ridiculas. So we have 25 years so far of terrible president, because Obama has three more years to screw us.

Okay, so republicans campaigned in 2010 on a promise of more jobs. John Boehner himself emphasized jobs.

What's he done since 2010 to give us more jobs?

HOOOORAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY! At least one of our leaders isnt a spying traitor.

Sen. Ron Wyden, a democrat from Oregon denounces bulk phone record collection. "I have to believe the civil liberties of millions of Americans have been violated," Wyden said. "The fact is that vacuuming up the phone records of millions of law-abiding Americans can really determine and reveal a lot of private information," he said.

This guy is representing the people of the United states and respecting the oath he took to defend the Constitution! If only we had more like him.

Nothing. They Republicans have spent the past 5 years trying to destroy jobs and the economy because a black man they dont like is in office. They have openly admitted they care more about harming Obama than the good of the United States and its citizens. They are a disgrace to the nation.

In Texas employment is high becaues oil prices and gas prices are high--you know, those prices conservatives expect Obama to control because they don't believe in socialism.

<quoted text>The information below was taken from the following: http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/FAQ.pdf#pa...

# 14 Question: Can a commercial truck driver carry a firearm in his/her rig?
Answer: There is no federal law concerning commercial truck drivers and firearms. If you have the proper Permits/License and can legally carry in the state you are driving in or that state allows the carrying of firearms without a permit you are legal. Click Here to read letter from Office of Hazardous Materials Standards that firearms do not fall under hazardous materials in commercial vehicles. Similar letter at PHMSA website.
Go Here for answers to questions by the US Dept of Transportation that states carrying firearms in commercial vehicles answer is:“Carrying concealed weapons is a matter of state law.”
A company can have a Rule that states you cannot carry in their vehicles. That is just a company rule and all they can do if you do carry and are caught by them is fire you. You are not breaking a law just a company rule. I have talked to many truck drivers about this and I have not heard of one trucking company that allows their drivers to carry a firearm while working.

How can you get a permit when there is no federal law governing the issue? Case closed!
What you reading is not from the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Handbook. Also what you are reading is not a interstate transportation rule it is intrastate rule. In other words it is a law that is based according to drivers that drive locally in one particular state. As you would know if you where smart enough to read on farther and look it up in a legitimate federal document, in order for a interstate driver to carry a firearm in his or her vehicle for legitimate safety concerns because of high risk situations (like ordinance, ie. live rounds of ammunition, gun powder, dynamite, or any other high volume explosive devices), if traveling through states that do not have concealed carry permits and city's that have strict hand gun laws, like New York, Chicago, Washington D.C. would have to have permission by the ATF and FBI to carry the firearm in a commercial vehicle. Not all states have carry permits that transfer from there home state to another state. Since I live in WV, I cannot apply to have a concealed carry permit to carry in a state that I do not own property or a temporary or permanent residence. It works the same as a drivers license. You can't apply for a drivers license in California if you live and reside more than six months out of the year in Ohio. Ohio is your domicile state and that is where you would get your drivers license.
