How much did he drink that he doesn't even know what day he was arrsted? This is not his first rodeo, he must do this regularly becuase "blackouts" happen to the real drinkers that can put tons of booze away. How is this guy going to watch out for my distrcit if he can't even watch out for himself? He went up to the police while drunk ? Well this makes him stupids as much as he is a drunk. I can't see myself voting for him now or ever becuase of his poor choices. He finally turned in his car, but he kept this hidden for five years from the people that placed their trust in him, sounds like a real loser to me. This makes me think that this guy feels entitled and above the peole he serves. If he had turned over his car as soon as he returned from the game, I would have seen an honest man that may have made a mistake, but to cover it up for five years makes him a real scumbag. P/S there will be another USC vs Notre Dame game this year, does he plan on "Blacking Out" again? You lost my vote you dirtbag!!!!

How much are they paid? What other perks do county supervisors get besides a car? Does this mean he will be getting a car allowance now that he is using his own car? I hope the reporter reads this and answers. The public should know. Also, how much does it cost to have county supervisors? They have a staff of how many? How much are they paid?

School Board members in the area get about $400 a month, plus full family health benefits. That is about another $1000. So, all in all, we pay them about $1500 a month. That is it. No staff, no real salary, just some nice health insurance.

This is hilarious: a smear campaign at the lowest level of the political ladder. I don't know this guy other then I question his "good ole boy" affiliation when I see his, and anyone else running for local government, signs on the lawns of Rancho's yahoos. You sure your not his opponent from Fontucky? Just saying. This guy was probably drunker then a skunk and what irks me is the fact that he had the money and connectins to get the charges reduced. That smells like a good ole boy to me.

Come on people! everybody makes mistakes, so just let this one slide. After all, he has commercials on T.V. and is supported by one of the areas most outstanding citizens Jeff Burum. Besides, you don't want him making that vinegar he calls wine on a full time basis.

So now we're all supposed to think he is being honorable by turning his company car in? I don't think so! And right before election time to possible win votes? What a crook and a PHONY!!!

"To the best of my knowledge, my California driver's license was valid," Biane said in his statement. "This fact was verified every year by the county's auto-insurance provider. If a county policy was violated, neither I nor the county was aware of it."

I always thought the county was self-insured. If not, who is the county's auto-insurance provider? Can you check that Inland Valley Daily Bulletin?

That statement by Biane tells me that his California driver's license was suspended/revoked because of his reckless driving conviction in Illinois. The state of California has an Interstate Driver License Compact with 45 other states which basically says ONE DRIVER, ONE LICENSE, ONE RECORD. The state of Illinois has been part of that compact since 1963 so Biane's conviction and driving license suspension should be on his California driver's license record and since it was alcohol related it could be on his driving record for seven plus years.

Since his home state is California, the DMV would treat the offense as if it had been committed at home, applying home state laws to the out-of-state offense. That means his driver license was likely suspended/revoked in California not just in Illinois and if he was driving a motor vehicle while having a suspended/revoked driver license its a misdemeanor each time he drove a motor vehicle.

It's time that the Board of Supervisors (BOS) be cleaned out and get rid of all incumbents. It's also time for term limits for the BOS or make them part-time. It just seems to me that most politicians serve themselves instead of the public.

Biane's attempt to hide his Illinois DUI arrest/ and reckless driving conviction tells me he lacks integrity and character.

Vote the bum out of office or continue to reap what you have sowed!

Interesting headline, "Biane to turn in County car"

In the Victor Valley Daily Press the headline to this story read, "SoCal supervisor admits DUI, giving up county SUV"

In the Press Enterprise, it read, "Supervisor Biane admits DUI arrest"

But to the Daily Bull**** the main newsworthy item was that John Doe #5 turned in his taxpayer provided automobile...

not the DUI arrest...
not the County Supervisor driving on a suspended license...
not the County Supervisor having to complete a court-ordered alcolhol abuse program...
not the insurance policy in Mexico that SB County taxpayers paid for so the Biane family could drive his County vehicle to Mexico on vacation...
not the 5 year cover up...

nah, he just turned in his car. no biggie. no news here. move along.

Question - why hasn't the Daily Bulleting reporter followed up on the fact that Biane has not turned in the vehicle, and is still driving it?
