As if the lack of friendliness, the tremendously high taxes and wallet-beating costs, and the pollution weren't enough, summer tourists now have another reason to avoid Chicago. That reason; flash mob gangs, terrorizing Chicago like the Schutzstaffel. Flash mobs form well over 20 people into a gang that then swarm and attack innocent people and even groups of people like angry hornets. They attack them with guns, baseball bats, billy clubs, and golf clubs. They beat their victims senseless, they shoot them, and then they strip their victims of everything; wallets, ID cards, driver's licenses, cash, traveller's cheques, everything, and then they scatter like cockroaches leave the victims there, bruised and bleeding, injured and helpless, with nobody willing to help them in any way, even to call the paramedics. To make matters worse, they are even spreading into normally quiet and low crime neighborhoods, including the Downtown area. Even the CTA is no longer safe as flash mobs have stormed and boarded buses and trains and have attacked the drivers and all passengers.

Chicago's gun control laws are so effective at eliminating crime. I wonder what it's like to walk the streets of Chicago while unarmed.

Flash mobs are a symptom of a poorly performing economy which is caused by socialist politicians (Chicago City Council, Cook County Board, Richard Daley, Rahm Eemanuel, and Pat Quinn).

When people can't obtain jobs they resort to extreme or desperate measures. The only people receiving paychecks are the city, county, and state govts, which includes the pigs. Emanuel is paying for more pigs and for more security cameras. More band-aid quick fix costly measures that aovid the real causes.

Chicagoans are so stupid to vote for losers. Notice they can't blame these problems on republicans or conservatives because there are none.

Daley, Emanuel, and Pat Quinn are far from being socialist. They are more to the right especially on economic and social issues. They are Democratic libertarians AKA Neoliberals. It's best to go to the library and actually read before posting on these issues.

Your assertion is a complete lie. A democratic libertarian is an oxymoron.

Pat Quinn recently raised taxes (rather than cut spending). After he did, some famous businesses threatened to leave the State, forcing him to give them special tax cuts. There will be other smaller businesses that can't contact Quinn, and they will simply leave the State, leaving the State with (ultimately) less revenue and with the spending that existed before the tax increase.

Pat Quinn knows nothing about economics. A libertarian knows everything about economics.

The State, after how many years of Quinn as governor, is still in the red and faces bankruptcy. Quinn has tried to force the Legislature to approve another borrowing plan (to put the State into more debt) but it failed to pass.

Rahm Emanuel is another economically illiterate Nazi who is already spending as if the money grows on trees. Daley has left the city in million$ of debt. He asked for armed bodyguards (24/7) for the remainder of his pathetic life. He has no concept of govt debt and its consequences.

Soon, Chicago will be the scene of riots already seen in Greece. Obama (another socialist) will lose his re-election bid because he can't stop his massive spending spree while the economy nosedives.

The Pat Quinn income tax increase will create a revenue decrease and accelerate the State into bankruptcy.

Obama refuses to stop his massive spending. It will exacerbate Quinn's incompetent tactics.

You seem ignorant of the fact that taxes are needed in a capitalist economy to pay public officials, like firemen, police, teachers, or build roads, and provide for the very sick and elderly in a society. This is so a society will not go into total chaos when businesses and corporations abuse and capitalize on a free market system. That is why Obama restructured U.S. Capitalism by bailing out the banks. However Neoliberalism, an economic system created by Milton Freedman who was a Libertarian, and that was endorsed by shady characters like Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, and Ronald Reagan. Jimmy Carter also initiated Neoliberal policies although not as heavily as Bill Clinton, Bush II, and Ronald Reagan who was the king pin of the Neoliberal economic order along with Thatcher.

He tried to export it all over the world but especially in Latin America and that is why he supported Osama Bin Laden and the Afghan Mujahideen in fighting off the Russians because he wanted to institute a neoliberal economic system based on free market capitalism. This is a Libertarian vision.

Socialism is different from Russian and Chinese communism in that it restructures a society so that the citizens own the production and capital produced. It doesn't go to a CEO making billions or even the government. The fruits of their labor, go to the workers and it also stresses cooperation rather then the libertarian social Darwinism of competition and greed that is central to Neoliberalism and a capitalist society.

All politicians in the U.S. endorse capitalism and some have no choice because many U.S. citizens are unaware of how their system works. As far as Nazi's, their general plan was white(European, mostly western) supremacy so they created their own political structure which was corporate controlled, fascist, but included elements of communism but only for "white" Germans. Only decedents of Anglo and Germanic tribes were considered equals in economic attainment and in overall society.

Many "White" nationalists/supremacists in the United States support Libertarians like Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and a free market corporate state. This is the legacy of Milton Friedman and you hear many on the Democrat and Republican party praising his system of neoliberalism through policy changes that negatively affect workers, the poor, and the racialized. Neoliberalism is the religion of wealth and greed.

Rahm Emanuel's father was a Zionist and although jews faced a holocaust, they support a free market state of Israel with is molded after western society. Daley's father heavily repressed progressive minded folks and segregated the city on racist ideologies based on "white" supremacy.

Daley is a neoliberal, so is Rahm, Pat Quinn and many others in Chicago politics. There is not much difference between the democrats and republicans as far as capitalism is concerned and neoliberalism invented by "The Chicago School of Economics" is the dominant economic system in the U.S. and which is globalizing the world. That is what is causing all the violence, crime, and racism. It's capitalist competition built on U.S./western cultural supremacy. That is the only thing that trickles down, not wealth but evil and crime.

@ Tory, Do you know what is really irrelevant? Western revisionism of the world's history. Critical thinking and better reading comprehension skills will enable anyone to find this information and it's not hard to relate what happens in actual history to an individuals life in current times. The proof is there for all to see and experience. It just takes work, effort, and a little intelligence.

It's gotten far worse. The flash mobs have actually started opening fire with automatic rifles on CTA buses and trains, killing scores of passengers in cold blood, injuring scores more, and causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. The flash mobs have raised the danger level to the point where you are no safer on a CTA bus or train than you would be on foot. It has gotten to the point where, literally, the flash mobs are dozens, if not hundreds of times more dangerous than the Latin Kings, the Four corner Hustlers, the Gangster Disciples, the Mickey Cobras, and any other one of the many street gangs that walk Chicago's streets.
