Obama was a total crazy radical by calling redline on Syria in the first place. There you have it--Putin is another neo-Bush (as a follower of Bush at the current time by calling and doing the same Bush things on North Korea and Iran), just like Obama. Funny thing, the Russian Bear knew Nuclear war would destroy everything so they ramped up Chemical and Biological weaponry thinking that one day they could wipe out the entire USA and wait until the Chems/Bio dissipates and then move in to all our infrastructure.

General Abizaid: We Can Live with a Nuclear Iran
September 17, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/3xvs7p
ABC News' Jonathan Karl Reports: In contrast to U.S. officials who have consistently called a nuclear Iran unthinkable, former CENTCOM commander John Abizaid told reporters Monday that he believes the United States could live with a nuclear Iran.
"There are ways to live with a nuclear Iran," Abizaid said. "I believe we have the power to deter Iran if they go nuclear" he said, just as we deterred the Soviet Union and China. "Iran is not a suicidal nation. Nuclear deterrence would work with Iran."
Even so, Abizaid said the U.S. keep up the pressure to try to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons because that would lead to further nuclear proliferation in the region. Asked if bombing Iran would be an option, he said, "We should not preclude any option" but: "War would be devastating to everyone, and we should avoid it to every extent we can."
Abizaid's comments came in response to questions following a news-less speech to the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.

I have lined up my Christmas presents this year for our president, Barack Obama, and for Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.
I will send them both a copy of the last book written by one of greatest economists of the last century, and winner of the Nobel Prize in economics in 1974, F.A. Hayek.
The book is called “The Fatal Conceit: The Errors of Socialism.”
Although the language and discussion of the book is not all that simple, the basic point is, I think, pretty straightforward. Hayek summed it all up in his acceptance speech for his Nobel Prize.
He noted the critical importance that we know what we don’t know. Thinking you know what you don’t and can’t know, the illusion that men can plan, organize and control things far beyond their understanding is the “fatal conceit” of socialism.

I have read these words before. Years and years ago.

It was one of the primary arguments a book I consumed made against religion.

The words are rearranged but the idea is the same. And it made a lot more sense.

Then again, this same argument can be applied to almost any ideal. With the same affect.

You might as well use Samuel Jackson's known knowns and known unknowns.

The fact that this was part of a Nobel prize speech is disheartening.

Sometimes when you say nothing... it can mean everything to the right person.

I used the word "disheartening" because I feel if you think economics is "trying to control things we could never understand."

You are in the very back of the Nobel Prize line.

Well behind Obama, who got one seemingly as a gift from his wife.

This doesn't bother anyone else?

Yeah, to give you one more time, what makes one think that North Korea and Iran would use nukes if they have them, other than Usa--since it used atomic bombs to Japan once it had them for just less than 6 months? That is not the justification to say to save lives to use them, because if that is the case, every war is a nuke war then, including Korean, Vietnam and Iraq wars, by calling to say to save lives.
Yet, they still do not understand the magnitude and difference between nuke weapons and other WMD, such as chemical and biological weapons.

It is questionable about Russia's conventional weaponry and military these days as it is shy of demonstrating them, despite it is improving its submarine technology.
However, Russia does have a strong and viable edge in strategic weapons to Usa, since it has dug deep tunnels and upgraded strategic weapons extensively after US pulled away from the ABM treaty by Bush.
The contention of conventional military is now aggregated in Asia Pacific. China has produced much military equipment from the hardware it bought from Russia and it military is getting very large. Even US military admits that CHINA'S SUBMARINES CAN BE BETTER THAN THOSE OF US. Because other countries are facing China, India is buying a lots from Russia, including aircraft-carriers, while Japan is producing more on its own for its high technology.
North Korea has been training its military all along for many years while Vietnam is also active after Vietnam War.

Russia plays the Asia card in a mixture of sides between India, Japan, two Koreas and China very well as it is like on all of these sides. So, as they build up the military there, the Russian position in Asia Pacific makes unlikely for heavy military riff but their military building of countries at these times. Russia is also concerned about Europe and EU, that it is trying to gain back sup[port from Europe, including from Ukraine. As US deals with China only on economic concern to China's thinking, so US is still the adversary to the Chinese in these military ASPECTS.

US has been too much emphasized dealing with China in economics only. It is uncertain whether countries would stick and count on uSa in the long range aspects if China and Russia increasingly show strength in military enhancement. It is also not sure how long China's economic dream can last.

The focus is who would become more vital to these countries's choices in the long run, including those in Europe, Usa or Russia?

THE FACT IS THAT RUSSIA HAS AN ADVANTAGE IN STRATEGIC WEAPONS TO US, as this is the basis for the appraising of modern conventional weaponry and military.

I meant the Russian build up with Bio/Chems back in the day and not now. Shelf Life and MAD.

You seem to have a very good knowledge of military worldwide.

I always wondered how many Russian Generals sold Nuclear Technology/Nuclear Weaponry,(Loose Nukes) in the black market after the fall in 1989?

General Krulak said years ago that the Dragon and not the Bear will be the next generation of military might and the USA will need a heavy presence in Asia.

The United States owes plenty of funds to China and Japan since the Bush wars in 2003 to Present.

I hope we do not need to start learning to speak Mandarin and Japanese because we cannot pay them back. LOL

It is doubtful that Russia would sell nuclear weapons to any countries in the past, even from former Russian military officials in the Black market. As a fact, Russia also sticks with Bush view that Iran might best not have nukes as well, despite it is interested in a relationship with Iran, besides Egypt and Syria in the ME region.

North Korea nukes have been its work a long time ago, with some help for Russia and China possibly, as it does possess some nuke bombs now.
But Russia and China both advocate against North Korea having the nukes at this time, and it is too late, for there is nothing they can do.

as far it shows, Russia stresses the unification of the two Koreas.

If JAPAN WOULD BE ALLOWED TO HAVE MORE MILITARY,IT WOULD HAVE BUILT THE SUPER EQUIPMENT AND MILITARY a long time ago, INSTEAD OF GOING ALONG with US to invest in China, by helping China gaining manufacturing aspects and in the high technology, including US.

The Chinese do not have much creativity and invention but are able to copy and tackle problems and willing to work hard.

Russia has helped China in many areas, from space, military and sports programs. Now the Chinese do not count on Russia any more, but are able to challenge others.

In spite of the fact US owes China lots of debts, US is still the largest buyer of Chinese things and wants Chinese market, China might not show the pressing of debts at these times.

India has produced the second largest number of Ph. Ds after China on the planet and is able to fire rockets to Mars while China could land its men on the moon but not to Mars, there is not much in the difference in the level of their scientists.

Except India has its many scientists working in Usa and as programmers as well, it does not have its educated professionals to come to basic with FUNDAMENTAL PRODUCTION, therefore, ITS ECONOMICS MIGHT NOT PROPEL THAT FAST, like China's so far. However, India still has the potentials.

Since Japan plays a stronger role in facing China, China might not be able to move aggressively as it might like in the region.

Europe sees how Russia can pull its Asian card in the linkage road connecting to Europe. The ones which are closer to Usa are western European countries. Germany is increasingly flexible and playing in between Usa and others. Nordic (like NORWAY,ICELAND, and FINLAND) and some few ones play more as independent role in Europe
The future of how world evolvement AND balance are like, is uncertain and not visible to note at this time.

Wait until the Chinese and Russians get angry if they could resolve other ones in ASIA if they want to shuffle against anyone, including US.
I am not here to discuss these things.
It just by CHANCE indicates how things could possibly be by the sense of simple logic.

People should do their own job and things from their reasoning and rational minds.

Our seemingly endless wealth has been decimated by outsourcing our industry, using a fractional reserve banking system that will mathematically fail 100% of the time. Then dumping awe inspiring amounts of money into it when it does.
And We the People of The United States of America fund all of it.
Our fathers would cry "Shame!...have you none?".
All we really have left is the pride of knowing what we once had. And the regret that we allowed it to be taken from us.

I am not one of them.
The last stupid stat I can recall you putting out was about "twice as many people trusting fox news over Obama for their sources of information."

A glance at the "study" showed a bit less than 100 people polled.

Fox scored a 20 and Obama scoring 10.

Obama being a person and Fox being a "news" network who's job it is to inform people makes this stat turn on it's own head... don't you think?

Especially when people weren't provided with choices. They just named the first thing that came off the top of their head.

I can recall "my friends" scoring a 13.

Bad statistics don't fool smart people TD.

Ds after China on the planet and is able to fire rockets to Mars while China could land its men on the moon but not to Mars, there is not much in thethe level of their scientists.
People should do their own job and things from their reasoning and rational minds.
I do not know all things, what people like and don't like.
That is it--all these are just opinions.
had to cut

Naturally it is just speculation on my part also.

I still think when the Russian economy went belly-up some Rogue Generals might have went off the reservation to make money.

Money always comes first and not the safety or wellbeing of humanity.

The Nuclear Genie as been out of the bottle for many years and there is very little anyone can do about it now.

Right under Reagan's nose and he did nothing about it or maybe he tried covertly, I don't know.

The CIA provided a stream of accurate reports to the Reagan / Bush administration that Pakistan’s Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was making nuclear weapons-grade uranium throughout the 1980’s. Reagan / Bush did absolutely nothing to stop it because Pakistani ISI was helping Usama bin Laden, al Qaeda, and Taliban to oust the Soviets out of Afghanistan. The Russians wanted to control Afghanistan for future oil and gas pipelines from the Caspian Sea Oil and Gas Region.

Now fast forward to October 2001, CIA questioned two senior Pakistani scientists Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood and Chaudry Abdul Majid and they said Pro-Taliban feelings extend beyond the Pakistani Army, the ISI, it is right into Pakistan’s nuclear-weapons laboratories. Dr. A.Q. Khan confessed that he helped with the Pakistani government assistance, to sell nuclear technology to Libya, North Korea, Iran, and Malaysia. These Pakistani nuclear scientists have close ties to radical Islamic terrorists groups.

George “Ignorant Iraqi Oil” Bush did not do anything about Pakistan’s government selling nuclear technology to Libya, North Korea, Iran, and Malaysia. The CIA had 100% proof of this and George “Incompetent” Bush came out publicly with the truth on October 16, 2002, only 5 days after the Congress voted for Military Force against Iraq. Ignorant Bush also sold F-16 aircraft to Pakistan.

And what does that tell you about Obama for continuing over 90% of Bush/Cheney crimes against the constitution?

Obama is supposed to be a liberal and Bush was supposedly a conservative.

Really does not matter, does it.
