Let's see, this event occurred 5-years ago. Biane has only now admitted it, because he was pressed by the newspaper. Why didn't he turn the car in 5 years if he was so remorseful?
Could it be that it is the 12th hour before the election? Wanna bet if he wins, he'll take the county right back!
What will it take for him to admit his complicity in arranging the theft of $102 million from county taxpayers? Biane has no shame. He has already spend over $100,000 of his campaign donations securing the lawyers he will soon need. I wonder if he has apologized to the donors who donated that money thinking it would be used for another purpose?
Why doesn't Biane just resign? Save us all the headaches of voting against. Save us all from the off chance that the voters weren't paying attention, and accidentally re-elect him.
I am surprised the he Pomierski don't get along. Seems they both run in the same circles, and have an affinity for booze. I hope the Daily Bulletin puts this little news gem PROMINENTLY on the first page of tomorrow's paper. Please don't hide it back by the classifieds...
Bye, bye Biane...

I always find it disappointing beyond words when our elected officials break the laws that affect the safety of others. MADD has worked so hard to save the lives of our friends and family. Our elected officials, who should set an example, have behaved disgracefully and with little or no thought for the safety of others.

This is yet another example of the poor character displayed by Paul Biane and why he should never hold public office again.

I too think he should resign.

Paul Biane's best friend senator Bob Dutton also got a DUI on his record.

Talking about DUI's and elected officials, how about former Fire Chief and present City Councilmember Jim Bowman?
He was arrested for driving 100MPH while heavily intoxicated.
These people should know better, they are charged with ensuring public safety.

Speaking of those charged with public safety, isn't it ironic that law enforcement (SEBA) is supporting Paul Biane, a known drunk and a thief?

Just another example of poor behavior and why we need Janice Rutherford leading the County out of its' tarnished image.
She is a good, decent, and honest woman. She has served the City of Fontana well. In fact, she is arguably one of the cleanest politicians I can recall.
Sorry Chris Jones-- your days are numbered. You might as well pack your bags with Mr. Biane!

Actually, Senator Dutton has had THREE DUIs. Yup, not one- not two... three.

Here's a brilliant thought for soon-to-be elected County Supervisor Janice Rutherford. How about requiring that all elected officials and employees who have access to county cars have their motor vehicle records run annually?

If this practice had been in place Mr. Biane would not now be driving his county vehicle. Makes you wonder how many times that Bill Postmus was driving his county car while high one meth?

Look, thanks to Paul Biane, Ovitt and Postmus--we the taxpayers lost $102 million due to corruption and bad decision making. It doesn't seem prudent to have drug and alcohol addicted officials driving county vehicles. Who is going to pay the bill when these fellas kill and maim innocent bystanders while in a county car? It won't be The Colonies paying the bill...it will be us the taxpayers paying for the lawsuit that could have been avoided...gee, just like The Colonies...

The county needs to have and enforce an annual look at these folks driving records. Obviously, this is not done OR enforced. If the county did have this policy (which I doubt) we wouldn't be learning about Biane's escapade 5-year later.

By the way: Paul, who don't you just keep the county car now...If you were really sincere you would turned the car in after the incident.
A true case of being only sorry because you were caught. You can turn the car in after you've been turned out of office.

Paul Biane's new campaign piece was delivered in my mail today. It states WHEN IT COMES TO REFORMING GOVERNMENT, THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF CANDIDATES. THE ONES THAT TALK THE TALK [referring to Janice Rutherford] AND THE ONES THAT WALK THE WALK [referring to Paul Biane].

...AND THE ONES THAT WALK THE WALK? That is when he can walk a straight line (when not inebriated)!

Little Joe: The sad thing is... PB is always inebriated. He needs help. Professional help. And a better campaign consultant. When you hire Chris Jones.... you are sure to lose.

You are right, Biane needs professional help. And we the taxpayers need help, because Biane holds public office. He clearly continues to make choices that negatively impact a great number of people with no remorse. I don't feel sorry for him, and he should resign.

I agree. I see you live in Rancho. What can you do? Get the word out about Janice Rutherford. Walk, call, get a yard sign!

It's sad to even think that this guy got as far as he did in June. The taxpayers are asleep at the wheel-- but hopefully they are waking up. It is up to people like you and I to get servants like Ms. Rutherford in office.

Alcohol is not Biane’s only drug of choice. iePolitics has been told by sources close to him that he is also a heavy marijuana user. This, to many, seems hypocritical because of his stand in denying terminally ill patients access to medical Cannabis.

Alcohol and marijuana are socially acceptable drugs in most circles. Cocaine is not. And that is Biane’s third drug of choice.
