What do they mean they havn't had problems in this area? My car was stolen from right down the street last week along with many other things being stolen from the area. Overland Park could not care less about it's neighborhoods north of 75th street until it's time to pay taxes. Thank you to the People's Republic of Overland Park for keeping your northern areas safe.

Tony I see below your name is says Kansas City, KS. Do you live in OP or KCK. Merriam Drive and Foster is very close to KCK. Does that mean you are a KCK resident? If that is true then SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!

No, I live in Overland Park. The area on Merriam Dr. between Antioch and Foster is Overland Park boarded by Merriam and KCK. I think I'm well aware of what city I live in, and thank goodness it's the People's Republic of Overland Park!

P.S. to show you how much we get screwed over by the OPPD up north... My dad was witnessing a robbery about 6 years ago across the street and called 911 getting the OPPD dispatch where he was informed that he should have been connected to the KCK dispatch. I'm glad the taxes we pay to OP are getting us such quick response times. I think it's pathetic that OP doesn't even know where their own city boundaries are. Another time, I was side swiped and the guy drove off right outside of my house in Overland Park. It took the officer over 45 minutes to respond to the hit and run. I was informed that It took so long because OP didn't have a single officer north of 75th street that night.

Another exciting story from the city of Overland Park... they wrote my dad up once for having a "noxious weed" planted in his front yard... the weed they were referring to were the Kansas state flower, sunflowers, planted in the front flower garden. Apparently OP doesn't have time to patrol our area to keep crime rates down but have plenty of time for writing tickets for planting the state's flower. There's plenty more stories to go around, between the two of us we could probably write a book.
