Such a sad story to think this kid has now probably ruined his life and has to live with the fact that he killed his friends. The guy that saved him is a real hero I am not sure all would be that willing to risk serious injury to save someone.

Mr. McCarthy, you need to know that God used you in a very special way to pull the one boy from the wreck. If God's plan was for the other two boys to live and survive, you would have saved them also. Just remember that You are special for being the indivdual that was there to rescue the one. God puts us where we are at every minute of the day to do His will. Live your life knowing you were a chosen one. If God's plan was for all 3 boys to die, you would not have been where you were or done what you did. Great Job!!!!

Sad this is what happens when people drink and drive. So please do not drink and drive!!! No one should be driving this fast. Good luck to the survivor and the families involved. People that drink & drive don't think about what could happen and the consequences.

My one question is if the driver was married and expecting a baby why was he out until 1 a.m. drinking with his single friends?

I used to work just down the street from the accident scene. Terrible what happened but I wish Ben the best in dealing with this in the years to come. He is already paying for making a terrible mistake by losing two friends. I'm just glad noone in the house that was hit was injured.

The driver was NOT the one expecting a baby! Read it again. The man who rescued the driver is the one expecting a baby!!

Ben had been deliberately driving drunk and used his vehicle as the murder weapon to kill two people and badly injure McCarthy, his rescuer. He has a lot more to deal with than just the law.
