Please help. These forums started in January. They not only give the residents a voice, they keep the residents informed. Flyer's have been put out at business' and some have some how disappeared. You can make of that what you want.
I would like to ask all of you to tell all of you Steger friends about these forums, or send them emails with a link to the forums. The more people posting, the better informed we will be. Thanks in advance. |

This is what you get when the Chief is a ex-Chicago Heights Police Officer. Look at poor Glenwood, They got a Chief from Chicago Heights. Its sad but brutality and corruption come from that department. O'well! |
|
dito dito dito The corruption runs way deep. |

Mayor Sherman had that sign removed, because it was keeping police busy doing their jobs, and that was writing tickets. If the Mayor would stop voiding tickets and allow more of the ordinances to be enforced, maybe the town could make some money and it may piss off some residents. But, then getting them pissed off and a fine may cause them to keep their homes fixed and community cleaner. |
|
If you have proof contact the State's Attorney's office and explain the situation. Fixing tickets is illegal! |

I wonder if it was the same people that kicked in our door on 10/28 when we weren't home. |

to all the people that decide to drink and drive do you understand 1.you can kill someone.or be killed.2.it takes the least amount $2500.00 just to do all the legal things that need to be donebut you still have your dui and suspended licence and dui evaluation which is i think $175 and also the fines which will probly be close to $1000 and that's only for a first timer.so if you want to drink stay in your own town go to your local bar leave your car there or walk there and back.you will still be alive and others will still be here on earth and no one will be at a grave site crying.

This is so true!! Did you know that a couple of months back there was a rash of robberies between the 7-11, the shell station and the Crete Speedway in the early AM hours? When they FINALLY caught one of the robbers (only because the robber made a dumb mistake), they said that they were able to get away with the robberies because they knew that the police officers were hiding out and sleeping on the job and they knew where their hiding spots were. Last Friday the Community Liquors Bar had a band playing there and they don't have an entertainment license. Not to mention that place is VERY small and there were a lot of people there. Probably enough to violate fire code. Was anything done.......NO! BTW....What is going to happen with Union Ave? I have seen construction signs lately. |
