Maybe, but dont be fooled by all of these "Big" news announcements from the City recently. Odd how nothing was accomplished in the previous 3 1/2 years, except for the stupid tin man. Now all of a sudden there is an announcement about some potential retail, a new train station, new sidewalks on Central (that should have been done years ago) and the new signal on 151st installed for the safety of the children of course.

This is typical Chicago style politics, of showing people bright and shinny things before an election to distract them.

Or you could say this Mayor is accomplishing things that other Mayor's only talked about. The Central sidewalk grant took over two years to finalize, why didn't Gordon, Richmond, or Kelly figure out a way to do the job.

That grant money was supposed to have been there years ago. Back wehn the city still did the newsletter, there was always a blurb in there from the 4th ward alderperson about the money being secured and construction was imminent.

So where did the money go? You seem to have some insight here Resident, so where was the money?

This is exactly the type of fanboy speak that we're going to be hearing from now until the election. Also get ready for a good dose of "why change now" or "things are looking brighter" and the old favorite "stay the course".

Where is the KoolAid Stand for the Richmond/Kuspa Campaign, I need to have a drink and see what the rest of Kuspatons are feeling! This is the same type of stuff former Mayor now Adm. Ass. would do when he was mayor! With hold all activities in from Wards that did not agree and then at election time propose all the shiny new toys that are coming up! Seems like a couple of the Alderfolks are drinking the same stuff! Train Station, Dog Park(with $50 Fee-LOL), New Sidewalks(WOW), Dialysis Center, New Contractor to work on Retail Leasing, More Money to Manhard for What? How many of these projects have the "Best Day of My Life" Tribe seeing relief for Taxpayers? It is all smoke and mirrors for these folks, not one thing is helping the Taxpayers in 4 years on the job! So when the Water Rates go up right after the election, Garbage Rate increases for next 7 years, and the state sends all the pension problems to taxpayers (Read Today's Kadner), then we can all leave this community, since our Local Government has not stood with the taxpayers, just stood by and reached into our pockets again!

Manhard, Hanks personal landscaping, Richmond w/ city vehicle, Dotson and a contract for a company to do Dotsons job, bumbling idiot for Police Chief, city owned real estate. Will these be mentioned? Hopefully by his competition. A sidewalk, big deal. Train station, everyone's getting one. Tinley has two nice stations. We need a new administration with foresight and financial responsibility. Is that to much to ask?

I believe Ald. Toland already used a version of one of these catch phrases in his big email the other day. Dont be fooled by this sudden uptick in rosey news out of city hall.

On the flip side, dont just vote for someone else because he/she is not the incumbent. This was exactly how Hank got in. Peoplw hated Kelley so much that they voted for Hank, despite the fact he offered no plan on how he would govern.

While it is your prerogative to vote for who ever you choose. Voting for someone just because its not the other person, with properly vetting that person can lead to a bigger mess than leaving the incumbent in.

Kelly was not the ideal candidate, but Hank offered nothing more than he was not her. That's not a good enough reason to vote for him.

Maybe Blast should come on here and reveal who actually ran the old site and how it mysteriously was taken off within days of the election. A site like that, which allowed resident to vent unfiltered, should have been kept up for people to vent. Or was it simply that the person who set it up achieved their master plan and had no further opposition to his plan?

Right, voting for someone just because its not Hank, is what got Hank in. But I have to admit, there's absolutely no way we can afford another 4 years with a clueless, leaderless, old school cronie administration spending our money like its theirs. I can't wait to hear who's going to run against him and their platform or plan.

Comparing to the disaster Kelly created at 159th and Cicero, Hank's alleged waste is a drop in the hat.

Hank got in because the people were tired of Kelly's crap and he had no plan. Hanks waste may be a drop in the hat but it is a waste. Why settle for his crap? Hopefully we will get a competent candidate with leadership skills, who is financial responsible and has common sense. Is this too much to ask for?
