Timeshares are a good investment for those who actually have the time to use them. If you dont have the time, they are a waste of money. When it comes to resellers, some are bogus. They say they will place your timeshare on the Internet and get it sold. Don't hold your breath waiting. Most timeshares are sold through the classic process of a lure for a low rate hotel room, for a committment from you to take a high pressure tour of a first class resort. Want a great vacation in Orlando? Get a deal from a reputable Travel Agent.

Travel Agent?? that profession still exists???? i could find a better deal than an agent. an agent doesnt find you the best deal because they need to get paid. the more you spend the more they make. timeshares are good if you have time, but they also make you vacation. if your paying for one you WILL use it. and what is wrong with being forced to vacation? one of the last interviews of Barbra Walters she was asked "if you could do it all over again what would you do??" she replied "i would have taken more vacations"

best place to find out about timeshare and to buy resale is TUG2.NET clark howard talks about them all the time on his radio show..
I own several unit and have gotten more than my moneys worth from them..We bought units in South Africa for under 1000 each.. fees are 2-300 per week per year, not 6-900 like some place in US.

Timeshare fraud has been around since the timeshare idea was created, but they increase during poor economy. When times are difficult, timeshare owners are stuck with properties they canīt travel to or even afford. Desperate to recoup some money to pay for bills, they can easily become victims to scams artists pretending to be their timeshare salvation who will take upfront fees -as much as five number figures in some cases- but fail to fulfill their promise.
