Ron Ivie, the chief building official in Park City since 1980, has indicated he will retire, ending a 30-year run as a central figure at City Hall that extended from the lean years in the early 1980s to the boom years following the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Ron Ivie is the most stand-up guy in this town. His rational, intelligent approach and unwordly knowledge base has positively influenced this city beyond any words I can come up with. He will be sorely missed.
