If we step back from the spin for a minute, and consider the fundamental objective: Provide a permanent link between Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back ski areas.
If this is perceived to be critically important for the future growth and success of the Utah Ski Industry, you need to ask if there is an alternate approach.
As discussed in prior commentaries, it seems like a link between PCMR and Brighton would be logistically easier.
If true, would we see as much negative publicity as we are currently experiencing, if POWDR Corp proposed this link?
The concept is interesting and undoubtedly will be constructed and operated with minimal impact to the environment. It just seems like plowing Guardsman Pass would be easier, and maybe a way to prove the concept of the true value of connecting resorts. Collect a simple toll which would pay for the snowplow and paving the 2 miles of gravel on the east side.
