Mr. Wallack, If you have nothing to say, just keep your mouth shut.

Someone who wants to balance the budget has nothing to say? The Democrats obviously don't want a balanced budget. They had two years with a supermajority in congress and never came close to a balanced budget. Throw the damn socialists out now while we still have a country.

Bush Junior couldn't balance the budget either, but nobody cared then.

It's easy to say, "balancing the budget would be good", and I think everyone agrees on that. So, yes, he said nothing. If he doesn't already have some idea, at this stage in his life, what would be cut, or where additional revenue would be raised, I can't imagine why he thinks he has something to offer. Maybe if he says "hope and change" enough times, the people are stupid enough to elect him president. I wouldn't be surprised.

Good luck. A majority of Americans have their fingers in the public pie. 100% of us, eventually, when you consider that social security is an entitlement program. We'll always vote to take other people's fingers out of the pie, but never our own. The net result is no politician will ever be elected based on the promise of cutting off our graft, and any politician who actually tries to do so will not be re-elected.

The current national debt, including promises of future entitlement payments, stands at more than $250,000 per household. It is pure fantasy to believe that the Federal government can come close to meeting its financial obligations. Planet Earth doesn't have the GDP to support that level of debt.

When Americans decided, in the 1930s, that financial security was a basic human right our little experiment in democracy was doomed. No system of government can guarantee financial security. Democracy can secure the right of individuals to SEEK financial security through their own initiative and labor, but when the voters realize they have access to the fruits of other people's efforts the system begins to fail.

What! You mean a politician that actually has a resume, go figure! I always wondered how Dana Williams became mayor with this resume:

Realestate agent (enough said)
Geetar player
Rocky Anderson knob polisher
Liar on Prospector contamination.
Did I mention Geetar player.
Currently a coffee server

Wow, he sounds like a regular Renaissance man. No platform, balanced budget, everyone should pay taxes. I can hear the toilet flushing money already… of course, he's no less creative than his GOP counterparts around the country.
