Anything will overheat if it is used incorrectly. I overheated my Kitchen Aid Mixer trying to do too much bread dough in it! When used as the instructions recommend the Bullet Express is a Wonderful machine! It comes with a cook book that gives the requirements for usage. You used a recipe from your other machine! Use the recipe book that came with the machine and you will get the results the machine claims! Also the Juicer you get with the Bullet Express makes the best Juice!

We purchased the Magic Bullet and Bullet Express products. BOTH products failed within three uses, the engines they use in the machines are of poor quality and in both instances they burned out. The Bullet Express failed mixing egg, water, and flour; the Magic Bullet mixing a protein drink. Extremely poor product quality.
Even worse, once you're past 30 days forget about the organization standing by their product. You're on your own once your past that window. Terrible product, terrible customer service, terrible experience. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Oh, the instructions say to only blend it for 15 seconds at a time, but we decided to do it for 30 because that's how long we use the other device. HURP-DEE-DURP!! The thing started smoking when we didn't use it as recommended! Well, let's ding it for that! In other news, my Porsche's engine started knocking when I put in the regular gasoline (that's what I always put in my Toyota, and it runs fine on that). I guess the Porsche isn't such a great car after all! Also Part 1 of the review is a complete waste of everyone's time.

Why didn't you go back to the first guy who tested the Magic Bullet and have him test it?

Thanks Kirk for doing this test. I greatly appreciated your review. It helped me decide to purchase the Bullet Express. As it was recommended in your segment, I have decided to purchase the Bullet Express to replace my food processor that broke. Thanks again!

I would not recommend this product - I read the manual and tried to make a smoothy and the ice didn't even blend. There were still chunks of ice in the smoothy after several short burst on high. I made juice and it was ok except it doesn't keep so it is a daily process. I would not buy this product especially for the cost. It is not cost effective and leaves you feeling like you have been taken advantage of. I saw a live demo on Vega Master and it is a one piece unit that makes hot soup, juice, smoothies and everything was wonderful - they even put in the peelings - which have the vitamins - and it blended wonderfully and it is high quality for a less expensive price. I made a mistake buying the Bullet Express.

I am on my third bullet express. I love it. I hated taking out my large blender for just a little pesto. My coffee grinder was just for coffee and ended up on my top self, doubt if I used it in years. The bullet grinder is right there so I use it regularly and then just put it in the dishwasher. I use it to mix small amounts of tomatoes to top pizza with. I puree refried beans. Just no end to what I use it for. now I want to try the large unit that makes even dough for pizza. If it works like the small unit, It would be great since my shoulders ache after mixing dough and blenders just don't do the job. I want a multi tasking appliance and this looks like it. Does anyone have any experience they would like to share regarding making dough with the unit
