When will people learn not to drink and drive? Shame on these people for their careless actions. I just don't get how they could leave someone lying in the road dying. Now watch, they will get a slap on the wrist by our court system.

If convicted there is mandatory prison time for 1st degree vehicular manslaughter. They both are 2 pieces of sh*t to put it bluntly

She has been driving around drunk for years, she is a complete alcoholic; it is unfortunate she never learned and it had to come down to losing anoter person's life. My sincere thoughts go out to the grieving family.....

I use to babysit her kid, and she always came home drunk, and not knowing where she was... Sometimes didn't even get paid.

DWI is not an accident. People make a choice to do it even though they know it could be deadly. She gets no sympathy from me. I do, however, feel awful for the individual that was killed and her family. This didn't have to happen as DWI can be avoided. Any sentence less that life in prison is letting the driver off too easy.

It's not an accident when you get behind the wheel so drunk you can't even see. I saw this woman out last night at the bar and she could barely lift her head up let alone focus to see to drive a car

This is a sad situation for everyone involved. But remember "He who has no sin let him cast the first stone.". Nobody knows this woman's life story or the hurt and pain she may be carrying to begin with. What she did was very wrong and she must pay the consequences but she will suffer enough the rest of her life living with what she did. She doesn't your judgement too. And certainly her child will have a hard enough time too without people throwing her into things. She is an innocent victim. Remember too when your point your finger you have 3 more pointing back at yourself

How did so many ppl see her so drunk and Boone asked how she was getting home and then turn her in before she could leave? I know she is a drunk but I always ask ppl how they are getting home and then question their decision if its a dumb one. I know only one said they saw her Im just saying if she was out many had to see how bad she was.someone else could have indirectly saved the woman killed. I know its not our responsibility but she obviously doesn't make good decisions.I feel real bad for her kids too.

How can this crazy woman (killer) be let loose already. She took someone's life and she is already out of jail drinking again. What is wrong with our court system?

Of course she is out of jail, it's called bail. We have rights based in our constitution. It's called the fourth amendment. I kow Steve Coates. He is a great guy. I feel sorry for all concerned.
