Sad. Let priests marry so they can have a normal life and family. Idle hands do the devils work....Must be sooooooo boring to be a priest.

I wonder who he told?
Cash is very hard to trace. he must have dropped his guard or broken up with a "girl"friend. Someone must have rolled over on him.

Heard he had construction done on his parents old house in Colden - paid with a church check. Seems he wanted to get caught - so bored with life he needed to add some drama and grab some headlines. Maybe he's getting senile too - who knows. He didn't need the $, just the drama and excitement.

Great reporting WHAM. The headline says the parish is in Buffalo but the article goes on to say that the parish was in Cheektowaga. Hate to tell you but Cheektowaga is NOT in Buffalo.

How did he make restitution of $214,000? He must have stolen a fortune over the years.

I agree with Voice of Reality. He was probably suporting a woman and maybe even some bastard children. At 74 years old, he may have even had bastard grandchildren by now

Maybe stealing gave him a boner. Should try out the life-coach penile stimulation detector thingy.

If it be known all the Clergy who have stolen, all who have had affairs, abused children, it would outnumber more than what has been divulged to date.

Wait for what? He entered a guilty plea and made restitution. He is guilty. Now what do you think of him?

Actually the theft only came to light when the parish was closed because it was not being supported by the parishioners donations.

The amount of the theft stated was "The amount that could be proven in court".

He kept the income and banking records of the parish operations under his sole control.

The priest owner homes in the Caribbean Islands and in other vacation areas.

He frequently hosted trips to these locals for other good old boys of the clergy.

Who would want to look too hard at such a great host's source of income?

any church that has a collection plate could be considered thieves too since it just goes to paying for minister's trips to Jamaica!
