What? I used to work out there and my ex husband still does. I never met anyone out there who thought they were above everyone else because they have job out there. Maybe one day you will find that the more money you make..the more bills you have to accommodate the extra cash.

No temps, a lot of employees moved into the jobs the temps were doing and back into the warehouse with paycuts

The truth is that the temporary people will be laid off and KC people will fill the vacancies made by the temporary people. That is why you use temporary people so that when things such as the economy get really bad, you have the flexibility to let some of the temporary people go and still maintain your full work force. Everyone hates to see anyone lose their jobs whether they are temporary or full time. Times are tough and so are good jobs to find.

So was it full time K-C employees that were laid off ? Did they work in the warehouse ?

It's been about 9 years ago since I worked out there. I never saw much to complain about except for the fact that I was exhausted and when I was on my 3 days on I didn't feel like I got to see my kiddos, but the 3 days off was nice too. The turn-a-rounds were a killer too. I met and worked with some great people though. I was in the lab on the diaper side. Hardest part of the job was staying up all night! I got a lot of good exercise too, walking down to my machines every 30 minutes to check diapers! I remember a few times finding a problem with a diaper and having to pull a bunch of product..or worse yet, have the machine shut down. The P.O.'s were none to happy when that happened! There was one lady P.O. on P5 that was just brutal to you if you called anything on her machine. I was always thankful that fire arms were not allowed in the building when it came to checking her machine! lol

No full time employees are going to be laid off. Just the temporary people. A few of the most recent people who moved into Operations may have to move back to material handling but I understand that they will not take a pay cut because the moves are temporary and will stay at the higher pay scales. Not a lot more information that was shared at this time. I hope the economy improves so that even the temporary people will get to come back to work. They are good people and need their jobs also.

I never worked on crew 2 but I have 1 and 3. I am on day shift at this time. I'd rather not give out job description.
