I have a sluggish kitchen sink that seems completely stopped up at times. I have used a whole bottle of Liquid Plummer gel with no success. I have also used a toilet plunger. Besides a snake, is there any other way to unstop a drain? I think we have a combination of PVC and metal drain pipes. I don't need anything that will eat through the pipes. Thanks.

In a house I had before we got this one, my bathroom sink was forever stopping up. The last time I had a plumber come, I stood there and watched him and next time, went to Ace Hardware and got a drain snake, and took the elbow apart and snaked it out from there. Beat a plumber bill everytime.

It may be best in the long run to get it roto-rootered in case there are roots or anything causing it to stop up. It's expensive, but worth it.

I have used FLOW EASY. It's sold in hardware stores, but I haven't found it in grocery stores. It is expensive, but it WORKS. Says it is safe for all pipes, but if you have a septic I would read the fine print.

Crystal Drano. Not the liquid, but the crystals. Pour about 1/4 can into drain. Do NOT put your face over the drain, kinda back up a bit(it can spurt back at you). After the drain starts to free up, run cool water for a few minutes. Works everytime for us.

Get you some "Liquid Fire" it comes in a quart and a gallon jug, I promise you it will work, It is a commericial grade opener and the only place to get it in Paris is at Giffords Hardware on N. Main.
That's all I ever use...I can assure you that you will never use anything else. This stuff is the best.

Liquid Fire is the very best, but beware it is sulfuric acid and if you get any on your skin it will burn, clothes might as well throw the away.
