Anyone who thinks Keefer is drinking, partying or anything of that nature, CLEARLY has not spent any amount of time with him since the accident! He has completely changed everything about his life. I understand everyone's perspective, and concerns. And I agree with some. I'm just saying he is young, he has a lot to learn still. He is a very kind hearted person, he made a very poor decision. That does not mean he deserves to be beat down everyday. It was NOT intentional. Its my understanding all of them were drinkers. If one of the other boys had been driving, and keefers life was not spared... I'm sure the loved ones, of the boys that passed,,, would feel differently.
Anyone that has the charges that he is facing would not be to smart not to change everything about their life..he is facing prison time...it was not intentional, but sadly it happened and take his punishment...He decided to break the law that night by driving drunk

How do the loved ones, of the boys that passed, feel and how do you know it?

I have tremendous sympathy for Keefer. Not only has he , although not intenioally, caused the deaths of his friends, he has years to have to deal with it. Maybe he is still acting foolish and has an attitude - I don't know - but he is still young. How many of the posters on here can say they made all the right decisions when they were 20? Not many, I dare say. That isn't to say he should get off scot free. He will never learn his lesson that way. But, come on. I bet there hasn't been a day go by that he hasn't thought about what happened and wished he could turn the clock back. You know he must be worried sick that he might go to prison. That's a lot of punishment.

To say he isn't drinking any more sounds kinda funny, since he's still not old enough to LEGALLY drink.
Won't he be 21 in Oct 2012?

Prison will take care of that attitude... enough already stop making excuses for him....he chose to drink and then drive that night.. In prison he not better than anyone, all all have the same clothes, same shoes, same bed, same commode, same sheets, same food, it not the Hilton and he will know he never wants to do anything to go there again.......but come on. I don't have to bet I know that there is not a day goes by that the families of the ones that were killed that night, don't think of what happened and wish they could turn back time...but Keefer will come come..they will never see their loved ones again.... Keefer worried he's going to prison....that is nothing compared to what those Moms and Dads that lost their sons face daily while Keefer worries that he will go to prison for awhile...

Keefer knew that night he was going to be drinking and then he decided to get behind the wheel of a vehicle...and some have the nerve to say accident. For one he is underage and never should have been drinking in the first place. I for one do not believe it was an accident. This was not the first, nor the second, and most certainly not the third time he has gotten drunk at some party...h'mm accident...no way. He needs to do some serious time for ALL of law breaking that he has done and obviously will continue to do. He must think he is untouchable. There were a lot of wrongs that frightful night, now it is time to accept the blame and move on with his life...Hopefully in Prison were he belongs. I am glad to hear he is finally off the streets.

To sit there and say it wasn't the first, or second.. Or third, sounds like you might have been present in multiple nights of partying with him?? Thats my perception . But let's judge him since he's under the spot light. Wow, get lost

He put himself in the spotlight not me. No I am way older than these underage drinkers, but thanks for the compliment. I know better than to drink and drive. I know it is hard for some people to comprehend that what he did was WRONG and was not an ACCIDENT, his sentence will come soon enough. I will take your advice and get lost, I will just sit back and wait for the final outcome of his trial...I do believe justice will be done.

I feel heartbroken for the families that are suffering, but did it ever cross your minds, that there are many of us that love Keefer, he is someone's son, grandson, brother, boyfriend, and friend ..And you should shame yourself for kicking someone while they are already down.
Instead of speaking unkind words, I will pray for you all.

You are saying it was not an accident. You are wrong. In order for it not to be an accident, it would have to have been a pre-conceived plan with intentions of a wreck. Do you honestly think this young man INTENTIONALLY had a wreck and caused the deaths of his friends??

His drinking was intentional but the accident was not. Nobody in their right mind could say he intentionally had an accident and intentially caused the deaths. I hope he gets 2 to 3 years and spends it all in local jail with a few years probation after that. Sending this man to a hard core prison would be wrong.

Do you really think he would come out as a more sensible person? No. He would come out bitter, angry, and mean. How is that justice?

He knew there was a very good chance driving drunk and fast would result in a wreck, therefore he did know there was a better chance of having a wreck and the possiblity that someone could die. Therefore he should serve the maximum, especially since he violated his bond conditions. AND none of it should be served in a local jail! If prison is good enough for the others, it's good enough for him. Let him sleep with one eye open for about 10 years.

Obviously, either you or a family member spent time in a prison. See how bitter it made you? Did you learn to sleep with one eye open? You seem to know an awful lot about prison life. You are bitter about being sent there and you are bitter about some people having more money than you.

Get over it!

Keefer, admittedingly or not appears to be an alcoholic. He needs treatment and time to dry out. I think he can get both in prison, so this is a good reason to send him. Also, he needs to admit to himself he is an alcoholic and will be one the rest of his life. Once an alcoholic always an alcoholic.

Hpw do you know he is an alcoholic? You do know you could be sued for libel, right?

IF he is an alcoholic, then he has a disease. You DO know that alcoholism is a disease, right?

You say he needs treatment and time to dry out? I hope his family sues you , quite honestly. You need to spend time thinking about what you are saying.
BTW - you just could be helping his cause. If these posts are considered in the judgement phase , and it is determined that YOU made erroneous statements about him, then YOU could be supenaeod
to explain your comments. Nasty wrong accusations could be in his favor .

Hey, I have an idea for all you people that want to crucify him.

Why don't y'all stand him in the middle of the street and take turns throwing rocks at him? that should satisfy you. If not, put him in the back of a pick up, tie a pork chop around his neck, and make him stay there for several days with mad, hungry dogs circling around him. If that didn't satisfy you, you could make him walk the plank.
Boy howdy, that oughta do, show that young man!!!!

I would LOVE to have this thread traced and have a subpoena issued for the individual's behind all character assassination!!! Then perhaps some of you will learn to keep your mouth shut when you don't know anything about his personal life! You don't know him, you just know that he made a mistake and base everything off of that! Other wise you would see him in a completely different way.

Tell me when this thread is updated:
