I DoNT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE GET ON HERE AND POSTS NAMES! YOU IDIOT HOW DARE YOU! I KNOW FOR A FACT ALL OF THE FAMILY HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED YeT. WHERE IS YOUR MORALS? YOU SHOULD BE PRAYING INSTEAD OF POSTING NAMES!!!!!! YEAH.....TALKING ABOUT THE SITUATION AND WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED IS DIFFERENT AND ITS ONLY HUMAN TO WONDER BUT DO YOU HAVE To POST THE NAME 2 HOURS AFTER IT HAPPENED? HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR FAMILY WAS KILLED AND YOU FOUND OUT VIA TOPIX OR ONE OF YOUR FRIeNDS STUMBLED UPON IT VIA TOPIX? GOSH SOME PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had a count of how many people have died there.. When will the state step in and put up an overpass or something. SOMETHING needs to be done. It's like the people who are coming off of 1497 just do NOT stop at the two stop signs! I've had a family member involved in a wreck where she was ran into by someone that didn't stop.. just kept going.. someone died then. Then I remember when I was younger when A woman and her grandkids were hit by an 18 wheeler and killed. That is an AWFUL spot!

agreed - it's had more than its share of accidents. People just need to pay attention! It's not the fault of the state, or poor design. It's just people who don't pay attention to the surrounding traffic, and when that happens, someone gets hurt or killed! In this case, a man on a cycle lost out to a car, and I imagine (didn't see it happen) he was not at fault.

I don't really see the big deal about posting his name. I myself came to topix to see who it was because I was emailed by someone wondering also. I knew to come to topix to find out! It will be posted in the Paris News.. in about a week as slow as they are.. But don't get your panties in a wad. No one is making fun of him, or his family. Everyone is being very respectful. At least now they will know who to pray for!

if ppl want to know then they should wait til they see it in paper (whenever that will be) names should not be posted within minutes after an accident. i for one found out by a phone call from a friend that had read it on topix. thank you for the kind words and prayers and i hope it stays kind on here.

I have to agree: posting names so soon after the wreck is very disrespectful for the parties (family) involved. If it is someone close or important to you, then I would assume you will receive a phone call or be notified in a timely manner. I am to believe the only reason anyone would be indecent enough as to offer such information, would be for none other than pure gossip. The quicker the names are posted, the sooner the trash talk begins, deserved or underserved. If you are here soley to offer prayers and kind words for the parties involved, victims names are not needed, just your thoughts and compassion. May God's Peace be with all involved.

So sorry folks I meet no disrespect. You are totally correct I was not in the right state of mind. I could not believe this had just happened to him. I apologise to the Ashford family. They are all wonderful people, and Dennis will greatly missed. Once again I'm sorry. Please pray for his families lose.
