Letters for December 28, 2007

To the Editor:

I applaud Judge Superville for remaining as our County Judge. At this time I believe Lamar County is better served by his decision. I have known and worked with Chuck Superville for many years. He is a person of integrity, honesty and fairness. He goes the extra mile to make sure all people are treated equally.

Judge Superville works with city, county, state and federal agencies; as well as, other elected officials at all levels. He presides over the commissioner's court, probate, juvenile, and misdemeanor criminal courts, and holds mental health hearings. Superville spends numerous time working after-hours and weekends serving the people of this county. He also is a board member on the Ark-Tex Council of Governments working hard on our behalf to represent our interests here in Lamar County. Being a licensed attorney, his vast experience and dedication to the office he holds, makes him an invaluable asset to the citizens of Lamar County.

If, in the future Chuck Superville chooses to seek higher office he definitely holds all the personal traits, qualifications and experience for such office. However, at this time, his outstanding service as County Judge and his past and current contributions to our county are noteworthy of recognition.

Naturally you do. LOL!!! Thats what you guys do...support your kin and friends. Supervilles "fairness" is why Paris is famous now. All the white folk in Paris "Is Heros". His "mental health hearings" are in reality him just signing his name when a paper is put before him. His juvenile hearings are what he's famous for now. But I suppose he is about the same as any other Paris Texas cowlick.

Judge Superville is a damn good judge. Regardless of your opinion on the Cotton trial, he did his job. If someone in Shaquanda's family had stepped up and agreed to provide an education and a decent household for Ms. Cotton she would have never ended up in the Ron Jackson facility. Judge Superville done his job as does Mr. Young. Don't like it, go vote (if your eligible)

I think we might need some more judges like him. He had no other option than to send her to prison because the person who was supposed to care about her , didn't. The girl needed some discipline and I think she got some in TYC. However, looks like it didn't change her much because it has been said that she broke her mothers arm not long after she was released. The mother probably had it coming but the girl should have just called the cops on her instead of attacking her and breaking her arm. Some people just are prone to violence. it seems.

A woman's prerogative.... to change her mind.

Can we call you CCCS now? Why can't you quit changing your name? You wanted me to stop so I did. I did it just for you. I wanted to make you happy.

What did you do that made that gal break your arm?

If Superville is running again I will vote for him again much much better choice than David Hamilton being behind that bench too many people remember too many episodes with him when he was a cop in red river county I've seen Superville in action and I've seen Hamilton In action each one several times and Judge Superville has a sweeter spirit. Hamilton is cold and uncaring and it doesnt make any difference if his wife is president of the NAACP. I'm still confused about that.

A COUPLE ADOPTED A GIRL A FEW YEARS AGO, SHE IS NOW 16. THE COUPLE COULD NOT CONTROL HER AND WANTED JUDGE S TO DO SOMETHING. HERE WAS HIS ANSWER: YOU MUST PROVIDE A ROOF OVER HER HEAD, WATER, FOOD. SO THEY DID THEY RENTED HER A 1 BEDROOM HOUSE, SHE IS NOW LIVING THERE (WEST SIDE OF TOWN) ALL THE LOCAL BOYS 12 AND UP KNOW ABOUT HER. THEY ALL VISIT HER AND HAVE A JOLLY GOOD TIME. JUDGE S HAS PROMOTED PROSTITUTION IN A VERY GOOD ROUND ABOUT WAY. IF HE DIDN'T APPROVE OF THIS MAYBE HE SHOULD FIND OUT WHO THIS 16 YO GIRL IS AND HAVE HER PICKED UP AND PUT IN A HOME SOMEWHERE. SHE LIVES ON ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STREETS SHILOH, 22ND NW OR WALKER. SHE DOES DRUGS, DRINKS ETC. I KNOW ALL OF THIS BECAUSE THE BOYS DOOOO TALK. NONE OF MY BUSINESS BECAUSE SUPPOSEDLY JUDGE S APPROVED FOR HER TO LIVE ALONE.
SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO TO SCHOOL. WHERE IS CHILD SERVICES WHEN THEY SHOULD BE AROUND?

If you know this to be true, you should call CPS and see if they can do anything.
