I know Sweet D is a new bakery in town; was wondering if anyone has tried their cakes? I need to order a cake for a shower and was thinking of trying them.

Thanks for the input guys! Always glad to hear when people like our stuff... Anon...the thin cookies are our lemon glaze cookies (my wife's favorite).

Prices depend on what you order, how big, how elaborate, sometimes on what type of cake (italian cream is a little more expensive than plain vanilla - understandably... you can always give us a call or stop by we're glad to talk to just about anyone, and if we can't do the project we'll be honest about that too.

Yummy - we haven't really come across any "haters" yet, and if we do we'll just feed them and change their mind!

I had the lemon cookies and your wife is right, they're wonderful! When I was there getting them, you gave me a lemon truffle that you'd just began making. It was sooooo good as well. I'll be back for some chocolate soon.

mollyg: no sugar free yet. If I can figure out to make em taste good to me, then I will sell it. If I'm not happy with it, I don't expect others to be, either. I am working on it, I do the work pretty much by myself, though, so it does take some time.

cookies and things call ahead and they will bake you a pie. Iam a diabetic and I call ahead and she has bake me alot of things without sugar. She makes a good pumpkin pie. If I were you I would call ahead on the sugar free cookies because they go fast two and she also makes home made bread. She is a wonderful baker

I L-O-V-E his German Choc Cake. OMG! His truffles are out of this world as well. I can't say a negative thing about Sweet D's. Beautiful cakes as well!

Owners are super sweet people, too!

Thanks guys. We have new fall flavors out now. So far we have pumpkin caramel, caramel apple, and Jamaican spice. Will try to have a couple more in the next week or so. Thinking of making a chocolate that tastes like cherry or apple pie.Any other suggestions?

In a ballpark - what does a small wedding cake (appx 50-60 people) usually cost. I won't need anything REAL elaborate just nice.
