Christians in Action only takes paper. We currently have no place to recyle plastics, etc. The May city election concerning privatization of the sanitation services involves a recycling option.

Maybe this could be a project for the next Leadership Lamar County class to set up a recycle program/drop off bins for Paris. I plan to vote against privatizing sanitation services and signed the petition bringing it to a vote.

I just throw plastics in the road ditch. I have a rusty barrel out back where we burn papers. The kids like to roast hotdogs and marshmallows over the flame. When I change motor oil, I pour it in the creek across the road.

I seriously doubt many people will go to the trouble to recycle. There will probably not be enough people recycling to justify the cost.

if the city offered recycling it would be no big deal the consumer. One bin for trash and the other for recycling. I'd gladly do it.

Me too or I would transport my stuff to a central recycle place like I did at CIA and at Brookshire. I have a big bag of plastics now ready to take somewhere. I do think people will recycle. I applaud the schools for the education on recycling they are giving our children. We as parents, grandparents, and citizens of this community need to model this earth friendly behavior for our children.

We recycle bath water. My entire Turd family can use the same tub of water for a week. Then we run this water thru one of those Brita pitchers and drink it. I take the lid off of my toilet tank and urinate in it to save water. I recycle condoms and sometimes toilet paper, if it is not in very bad shape. We kill robins and pigeons to help with the grocery bill. We use the feathers to stuff our pillows. We make our dogs run on a small treadmill to generate electricity. We burn our papers in a rusty barrel and sometimes cook over the flame. We use Walmart bags for trash bags and rain caps. We watch television at Walmart, but they do not always like us bringing the lawn chairs from Lawn & Garden section over to Electronics. So now we stand up and watch. We usually leave our lights off and feel our way around the home at night. There is much people can do to recycle and save energy.
