What is it about typing anonymously on a public forum that seems to bring out the darkside of some people's personality? After reading some of the posts, it occured to me that a lot of posters on here get what I have heard call keyboard balls. Some of the things typed here would have NO chance of being said in person to the person the comments are directed to. Have we evolved into a society of hide behind anonymity to air our true feelings? Looks like it to me.

I do read some things posted on Topic of Paris. But, you will see a lot of negative posts. Some get a thrill from "people bashing". I think it makes them feel big or important..or "See, I can say anything I want to say".They enjoy the idea that they can shock someone or ruffle some feathers. Well, if we all would not "rise to the occasion" and ignore these aweful posts, then maybe it would slow down some. It's like what I tell my grand-daughters when someone, usually their brother, picks on them' I tell them "If you just ignore him, he will go away".

Is "New Here" your legal name? If not, are you hiding behind your anonymity to air your true feelings?
