Need opinions on age and dating. Should age matter?? For instance 19 year old female dating 32 year old male?

What could a 32 year old have in common with a 19 year old besides sex?

Would you want your 19 year old daughter dating a 32 year old man? Why would a young woman date someone that much older ..money, car,...

That is a 13 yr difference. What if the girl was 32 and the man was 45. You see that all the time. Same age difference. What bothers you is that the girl is 19 and a wee baby child right. Ridiculous

Doesn't matter 19 & 32, 32 & 45, or 55 & 68. There is 13 years and he probably has kids her age. Her parents need to get involved and see why she is messing with someone that age. What parent would agree with this. I would be after some 32 year old man. If she was 15 and he was 28, same age difference. Bet someone would not agree with it then. She may be legal now but it ain't right.

Thirteen years, especially for a teenager is waaaaaaaaaaaay too many years. Why would a man want a teenager unless he's just after sex or he's so immature that he can't relate to his own age group. The parents should be very concerned, but at 19, what can really be done to stop it? JUst hope she finally becomes bored with him, or vise-versa.

A 19 year old hasn't been out in the world yet so to speak and that's the difference.

My husband is 27 years older than me. Married 46 years. It wasn't money or sex that attracted us, it was love and respect.

Until a young person reaches about 24-25 years of age their mind and emotions are still developing. They do not always make rational choices, and later regret them. After age 25 the age difference is not as important, but the specific person is mature enough to recognize that they might not have enough in common to keep a relationship together for long term.

You are talking about a very different time, 46 years ago! I wouldn't recommend it now. My grandmother was 16 years old when she married my 42 year old grandfather. From what I can gather, they had their issues. It was a long marriage and when he expired an old man he left a widow who was only middle-aged. They made it work for them, but again, that was a long time ago.

You are talking about a huge gap in age here. Sooner or later that older person is going to realize he is raising another child. Or he does have issues. And the younger girl is probably looking for a parental figure. And if by chance it does work for a while, whom is to say that 5-10 years down the road he will not want someone younger than this girl. No,this is not right on so many levels.

I think it's great. Good for them. No-one on here knows the situation these 2 people are in and for all we know they could be soul mates. There is nothin wrong with young tail either and that goes both ways for women and men ;-)

Seriously it make me want to throw up to think that anyone could possibly think this is okay. What in the world are you people thinking. He would want to date someone that was the age of their father. I for one would not. I would much rather go out with someone my own age. He is going to be an old man and she will have to take care of him. oh my bad, she will probably put him in a nursing home.

Agreed.

There was a large age gap between my parents. When I was born Dad was 42 almost 43 and Mom was barely 27.

Nowadays my mother is married to a guy who's only 7 or 8 years older than I am. Love is love.

For the 32 year old with a 19 year old...
If she never had an Atari-she's too young for you bro
If she can't remember when big macs came in a styrofoam container- she's too young for you
If she can't remember when a floppy disk was floppy-she's too young for you
If her car never had a cassette player-she's too young for you
If she never called her crush on a house phone and had to experience a parent answering the phone- she's too young for you
If he never had a Walkman or a jambox- she's too young for you
If her first phone was an iPhone- she's too young for you
If she never peeled the stickers off a rubix cube and placed them back on- she's too young for you
If her first game system was a ps3- too young for you
If she can't remember when MTV showed videos- she's too young for you

If she had to call her crush on the house phone then his wife would have answered. And if he had called her on a house phone her mother would have answered. Enough said.

It doesn't matter if it is a man or woman. I just feel that most moral women would have a bit of mothering in her that she would not do this.

Hhaha there is a ten year age difference between my husband and I. I am the older one. We met through a mutual friend and was attracted before we realized each otherz ages....i thought he was older and he thought I was younger. We have a GREAT connection and love each other whole heartedly, why waste chemistry. If the families are happy, anyone else can stick their nose right up their own ass....mind your own. Love is love....
