I used to go to Roadhouse all the time on their 2nd and 3rd shift, but everytime I got used to a waitress and cook, the next time I went, they were no longer employed there. Then I tried going in for breakfast in the morning and had a breakfast special, bacon wasn't even done and guess what? Whole different crew in the kitchen. I don't know what is up with that, but if you go to the coffee shops that have been in business awhile, you see the same crew. Just like McKees, for the most part, they try very hard to keep the good help. They appreciate the fact that just like employees need job stability, they need experienced help and customers look forward to seeing their favorite waitresses and cooks.
If you only knew how good they pay their help you would understand why they go thru the bad help so fast. I have been told their cooks start out around 8 or 9 and some of the better ones make up to 12 or 13 and as far as the waitresses they may start out at average pay for waitress but if they can handle the job well, well they can make up to 4 or 5 an hour. Bet you wont find another restaraunt or dinner that pays that good. The reason the other places keep their help so long is because those people cant handle a fast pace restaraunt like the road house. They stay buisy so thats why it takes time to get your order. First come first serve. The more they have to serve the longer it takes to get your food. The grills are only so big you know. Thats to be expected any where you go to eat. The more customers the longer the wait. The more the customers the better the place.

Hey if I can't keep the lights turned on you don't have anywhere to go and sit and drink coffee for cheap. Cheap ass no tipping jerks. I'm selling the food for rock bottom prices as it is.

Don't worry, there are plenty of other restaurants in paris that don't treat their customers like shit. I'm sure you'll eat at them once your business closes because you don't know how to run a restaurant. Your food tastes like warmed over dishwater anyway.

If you want to get ripped off go to Roadhouse order your meal and share it with your spouse and have the OWNER come and take your ticket and not say anything to you and hold ticket at register to charge you a 5.00 charge for sharing!!! Even though you ordered and told waitress you are sharing and she leaves ticket for 6.50 and two teas BUT OWNER comes and decides there is a 5.00 charge for sharing and takes your ticket. When you check out and question this ITS A NEW THING BECAUSE WE HAVE SALAD BAR!!! What?? Really? We are told we get 1 trip to salad bar with meal so he ate it I did not and that doesn't matter its a 5.00 Charge anyway!!! A total of $15.16 for one meal!!! I will not return and I have told EVERYONE about this!!!
Another story man told me he ordered cheeseburger and fries didn't want fries so he gave them to a friend.... And friend gets charged for fries BECAUSE you can't share!!! WOW 8.59 for Cheeseburger and fries and coffee and rules to do with what you pay for!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Interesting.

When did you get fired?
Never worked there or any restaurant, I paid good money for my meal, and expect food and service. I normally eat at Magels. There I get my money's worth, and no smoke to irritate my lungs. I have breathing problems and smoke causes them to shut down.
I ate at the Roadhouse on the recommendation of a friend, but never again. I prefer my food to be edible.

If that did in fact happen, you should of laid down the amount it was suppose to be and walked out keeping your ticket.
Just now seeing this thread and YES you will be charged extra
if the owner (Angie) sees you sharing.

If you don't believe it, then go try it!

The only time she charges extra is when some asshole wants to come in with some one and not want to pay for their own. The all you can eat is per person not per people. Salad bar is for the ones buying not the ones who cant afford or dont want to buy or even the ones who come in and say there not eating then decide to get some off some one elses plate. If you are going to share get it to go then you can give what ever you dont want to some one else. Please remember your refills are free so while your lazy ass is drinking 3 or 4 cups of coffee or more or glass after glass of sodas or tea and trying to get a free hand out from whomever your with and they see you sharing of course they are going to charge more. Plus on top of that you are waisting the waitresses time because most of the ones who does this sit in there for an hour or better and expect the waitresses to wait on you hand and foot then you dont want to tip much if even at all and complain about the service you recieved when in fact you shouldnt have gotten any at all!!!!

I ate there about 4 or 5 days ago and the burger and fries tasted like cardboard. I left there and decided it was my last trip there. Im not quite sure how you can make a burger and fries taste like nothing but they did. How does a burger have zero flavor? And dont say I should have went to burgerland. I tried, they were so busy I couldnt get in the door. Now I know why.

Im not sure what you mean by fast paced diner. Road house might have 1 or 2 more tables than McKees. When I go into Roadhouse there are maybe 4 tables taken and the rest empty. I go into McKees and I have to wait for a table to open up. McKees is almost exactly like Roadhouse, but with McKees you get the same good food everytime. I have never in my life left McKees upset over bad service or bad food. Been there 200 times. I have been to Roadhouse maybe 5 times and left there everytime feeling ripped off or just completely upset over tasteless food. I was there a few days ago to give them another chance and it was the worst burger and fries I have ever had. How do you mess up a burger and fries? It sounds like you are an employee taking up for Roadhouse, and thats great, you should, but dont shift blame to being busy, too busy when that is clearly not the case, and it doesnt matter how busy you are, the food should at least have a taste to it. McKees always does or Sunriser does good food. Good everytime

Roadhouse is horrible and high as hell. Ive been twice this year and both times the food tasted nasty. They give you lots of food but whats the point if it doesnt taste right?

I had the chicken fried steak the first time and chopped steak the second time.

That is total bullshit!

Go there and order a lunch special and give YOUR salad to someone else. If the owner (Angie) sees you, she will charge you for the salad seperatly..........GUARANTEED!

... and that is called being RIPPED OFF! It's no one's business what you do with YOUR food once it is on YOUR table. It is still the same amount no matter who eats it or if you throw it away or if you take it home.

Like i said the food is for the one who is purchasing it not the ones who is looking for a hand out. If you dont want the salad dont get it. Most of the time the one who is actually buying doesnt want the salad and the other person insists on eating their salad and making it themselves. So in my opinion you should be charged for the salad extra. Now if the one who is paying for the meal doesnt eat every thing they got then that would be different. But we are talking about people who go in there and do this want to put a monster amount on their plate knowing good and damn well they plan on sharing from the get go. Like I said before assholes like you just want a handout and expect shit for free. Like some one else posted before, if you would call her over to the table and ask she probably wouldnt mind as long as its not a huge salad for two. Try that and see how that goes for you unless your too chicken shit and would rather complain about it.

Mckees has as many seats as Roadhouse? Ha dont think so. RH has 26 tables a patio and their bar wich seats about 10-15. Mckees has about 12 tables and a bar that sits 10. Dont think thats the same or even close to the same.

I will NOT pay extra if I order any regular meal and share with someone(excluding buffet, of course). Period! Why would I pay an extra $5 if I order an $8 meal and split it with my wife, while paying for an extra drink? We often order different entrees then share with each other, so by their logic we should pay an additional $10.
