If you want to get ripped off go to Roadhouse order your meal and share it with your spouse and have the OWNER come and take your ticket and not say anything to you and hold ticket at register to charge you a 5.00 charge for sharing!!! Even though you ordered and told waitress you are sharing and she leaves ticket for 6.50 and two teas BUT OWNER comes and decides there is a 5.00 charge for sharing and takes your ticket. When you check out and question this ITS A NEW THING BECAUSE WE HAVE SALAD BAR!!! What?? Really? We are told we get 1 trip to salad bar with meal so he ate it I did not and that doesn't matter its a 5.00 Charge anyway!!! A total of $15.16 for one meal!!! I will not return and I have told EVERYONE about this!!!

Another story man told me he ordered cheeseburger and fries didn't want fries so he gave them to a friend.... And friend gets charged for fries BECAUSE you can't share!!! WOW 8.59 for Cheeseburger and fries and coffee and rules to do with what you pay for!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!

You also sound like you need legal help.
Screw Roadhouse, How dare they charge you extra, even tho you were caught munching on the salad.

Anyway Give the law office of Dewie Dickem and Howe a call Today, You could get a 25 dollar gift card from ATwoods. Where their slogon is" if their old and can't walk, push them to the ground....

That happened to me years ago at Sirloin Stockade. My brother in law was with me. Didnt't feel well so only ordered tea. I finished my lunch, and had two little chicken wings on my plate. He ate them and the manager came and charged me for a whole salad/hot bar. I think 5.99, my brother in law then proceded to the salad bar, loaded an entire tray of food, took bites out of everything and left it there. He probably ruined 20-30 dollars worth of food as the manager-jackass stood and watched. It was great seeing the look on his face and knowing he could do nothing about it, since it was an " all you can eat". Sometimes common sense really should prevail.

I stop going there a long time ago because of the prices and the attitudes of the waitresses, the food was always bad tasting also, just don't ever go back and do tell everyone . Word of mouth makes a big difference.

Food stores are for profit. No muching off of the store. Eat at home off the same plate. Things are high and no one can take loss. Sharing is bs. Order a entree made for two. Or dont take up seats.

Why is sharing bs? When my wife and I go to a Chinese restaurant we share our plates. When we go to a Mexican restaurant we share our plates. I've never ordered one plate and shared it but if the food is on there then it is paid for. The only way it would make a difference is if it was an unlimited buffet.

I'm sorry but your full of shit, never has any eat establishment said you can't share unless it's a Buffett rest. This is just another way to make you spend more money , and if it's not written on the menu that you can't share then that's that period.!!!!!

Just ate at Weezy's. Ordered one burger and two sides to split with my husband. The cook placed 1/2 of the burger on each plate with the one side each. No extra charge.

Rules are usually different when it comes to salad bars. It usually means NO SHARING no matter how innocent it may be. It seems to be an industry-wide rule -- so learn from this.

Since you were being charged you should have gone through the salad bar and got some fruit for dessert.

That's stupid. When you order a dish, you are ordering the food on that dish. If you pay full price for a dish at Roadhouse, what does it matter to them whether you share it with someone else or not? They still got the full amount for the dish as though the other person didn't even come in, so who cares if they share some of it? If the policy is "you have to order something if you want to be in this restaurant," that's one thing, but if I paid for a dish and then they tried to charge me extra there would be a scene because I just flat out wouldn't pay it.

Just walk away. Don't give in to these racketeering thugs who think they can extort money out of already-paying customers. If you paid for the dish you ordered, why should they get to change the price of the dish after it's been cooked and served merely because of what happened to it between when it left the kitchen and when it entered someone's mouth? Stand up for yourself.

Or just tell everybody you know that the Roadhouse food you ate gave you horrible diarrhea, which is probably true.

At least yall didn't share the tea. If one person eats salad and the other the meal... "i understand how you are veiwing this situation" but from a business standpoint a meal is designed for one person in one chair at the smallest table designed for one. If more people come just to get some cheap eats they should have to pay for the area taken up at the table made for eating patrons. Settlers don't make restaurants money. Order this form of share eating as a takeout, then nobody has a problem.

Have you ever got a bus ticket or plane ticket? Do you think they would let you have someone sit in your lap and claim it is still one seat? So it should be one ticket price?

No, because in that scenario, the thing you are paying for is the flight, so one person would be getting a free ride. At the roadhouse, you are paying for a hamburger, so it doesnt matter if one person eats it or if two people split it, or one person decides to let it sit on the plate and not even touch it. they still paid for one hamburger, which is what they got. If the Roadhouse thinks they should be able to force you to buy two meals just for taking up two seats, there are plenty of other restaurants in Paris who don't treat their customers like crap. I guess the only good thing about Roadhouse is the free side of diarrhea and lung cancer that you get after eating there.

You are right, owners should make the menu in a way that allows them to make a profit somehow. Cancer should be buy one get one free and diarrhea should cost double.
