Lisa Wright is a worthless waste of tax payer dollars that doesn't have a clue about the city in which she works. Paris is an economically depressed area, not Highland Park. She seems to want to do things Highland Park style. The single best thing that could happen to the city of Paris is the firing of Lisa Wright. Let her, Pinky, and Barbara move somewhere else if they don't like the way our RV's and signs look. Before this year is over, the voters of Paris may appreciate Richard Manning and Tim Ray.

Are you afraid of progress and inprovement? The whole town does not need to look like trash. This town could use a good old fashion cleam up. It is embarrassing to drive down the streets and see cars parked on the front lawns.

Paris does need to be cleaned up! The city needs a pat on the back for some of the things they are doing to clean Paris up, on the other hand they need a hammer to the back of the head for some of the other things. Who gives a crap if you see a $100,000 RV setting in someones driveway. Why doesn't the City of Paris clean up the TRASH, and not the lean on the hard working people that keep a nice place, but OMG have a camper! An lets talk about not leaveing a lawn mower in plain sight shall we. I was mowing my yard so my home looked NICE! I ran out of gas, drove 3 block to get a can of gas, and by the time I got home, I had a warning ticket for my mower being in my front yard not running!

Don't think so. She doesn't have all that bad of an idea about what needs to be done, it's just that attitude of do it or else that offends most. She also doesn;t take into account that some people just don't have the money to keep things as she thinks they need to be.

When they have to put up bulletproof glass between them and the public, sumpin is wrong. She is trying to go to far, too fast. Not one builder is building in the city due to the impossible rules. She is absolutely costing the City a tub of money by eroding the tax base. She was a great legal assistant, send her back there!!!!!

how much money does it take to pick up trash in the yard, keep it mowed? I mean sell the junk cars in the yard if money is what you need. A yard is NOT for parking cars, RVS, and such. If you are a homeowner and taxpayer then you should WANT to keep your neighborhood and city clean and litter free. It makes your property worth more.

I agree with "once again". All ov these old boats and RV's are making your yard (and the old dried up grass underneath) look horrible. It's making me wish I had a HOA where I live. At least if you had an HOA you would know the exact rules, and if you didn't like em...you could move to the trailer park. Paris is one of the trashiest citites ever. There are too many run down houses. On my block alone 3 houses need to be torn down. People park in their front yards. It's just trashy and ghetto. I hope they make MAJOR improvements before I try to sell my house, because no one would want to live on this street.

I could have sworn I saw the Paris News list some building permits in the last couple of weeks or so. Are you saying there is absolutely no construction going on here?

Big commercial is about it. Talk to your local builder! Site plans, drainage plans, delay, delay, delay. Wanna build a fence? Try to get a permit, takes weeks! On top of all that, where the heck have all the inspectors gone? you drag a permit for an airconditioner or a water heater, never, ever gets inspected. what is the point? Do we have any qualified plumbing, electrical, framing, or air conditioner inspectors. I don't think we do. It's all about getting the permit money and then not doing the inspections. Hire some qualified people if you want to do it right. If you don't want to do it right, let's just go back to the old days and let the tradesmen do it however they want to.

I agree with some of your points. However, parking an RV in a driveway, not a yard should be ok. Most people have a problem with the attitude of "do as I say, not as I do". City should have first made sure all of the City owned property(including City Hall!!!) parks, and
right of ways met City Code before beginning its cleanup efforts. This would have made it much easier to then enforce current code and enact new codes.

She makes 70,000 a year, cracks a whip on her pet pevs, cars, fences, signs, even toys. You can get a ticket! But you can have toilets in your front yard. And you can have foam cups for a sign if your city owned. The next time I need to get a message out for my business,I'm going to put up 20'ft. of chainlink ,and foam cups out.Because I now can't have a LED sign which is energy saving, and the signs of the future. Damn, if we it hers and Pinky's way, someone would still have to go around town and light the oil filled street lights because electric Street lights might start turning us into a new Las Vegas. LET'S BECOME A CITY OF THE FUTURE, NOT AN OLD TOWN FROM THE PAST!!!

Lisa was not raised a "rich" kid in an upscale neighborhood. In fact the home in which she was raised is on E. Houston, behind the old Sonic. Just maybe she wants things better for others than she had.

Lisa is a very smart girl and I am certain she is well intended; but I do wonder sometimes who she is listening to. What if these rules had been in place when she was a child? I don't think her parents could afford to do all these things. In fact, I know they could not. Maybe she should reflect back to "what would my parents think" and just maybe she would soften up a bit. I firmly believe she is trying to do her job but just somehow she is misdirected,in my opinion.

Ms. Wright is just another pawn for the big money people in Paris. What ever they say she jumps.

She will not have an office out in the open she is afraid she might have to talk to someone other they Pinkie or Barbara. She stays back in the back of the building and works in the dark. Does this sound normal. I don't thank so for someone who is making$70,000.00 a year.

People wake up!! Go to city hall and the annex and see how hard it is to get inside the offices and see what your taxes are paying for. You would think you would have to break in to see someone. This does not seem like open government. Sure not the citizens government. What are you afraid of Ms. Wright?

I say fire her, remember what she did back a few years ago when she laid off that girl code enforcment officer, and she was named code enforcement officer of the year by the State of Texas. I believe it was in 2004. she was good at her job. miss her over here in northeast Paris!!!

Got my fence permit in one day. But maybe I filled out the paperwork correctly the first time.
