Dont take Einsteen to see it on Facebook. Pops up all the time cause people are stupid enough to put pictures of themselves or their family out there. Whether they are art black, white, Spanish or Italian, they post and don't realize that once it is out there it is there. You have to watch what you put out there.

People who use facebook and other sites like that obviously have self-worth issues and need constant approval from others to inflate their egos, and corporations and the governments prey upon their ignorance in displaying their lives online.

If you are that insecure about your looks that you have to post it on fb, you need to reeevaulate. You are probably pretty and successful, but don't bring your child up with your insecurities.

I think this is all the biggest bunch of crap I've ever read. Facebook is designed to keep in touch with friends and family members. It's one of the easiest ways to share vacation pictures or cute grandbaby pictures, etc.. I love getting to see my grandson do and try different things through pictures on facebook, because he lives so far away from me.
I think that SOME people post pictures that are inappropriate, but those people are not included in my friends list. I have a choice as to whether or not I view them.

Only an idiot would post a picture of themselves on a site where a perverted Billy Boy can see.

Especially when they give their name and town where they live.

Some people are just plain stupid.

From what I see, the people who are constantly on Fakebook are immature insecure individuals who don't have a clue about real life. To them, it's all about me. God help us if THIS is the next generation to run this country! Clueless!

Amen to that. Our country is in bad shape. A president without clear defined heritage. Let's not forget about how much his little trips cost us. And the dog trainer making oner $100,000. Lol. Now we have women that are so insecure because they are of mixed parents (through no fault of their own, posting pictures and personal info on Facebook. These girls probably don't know which race hey should date.

Parents ,with any sense at all, should sit down with their teenagers and discuss the role of FB in their lives. If their teen's total day and interests are all wrapped about FB, then the parents probably have a serious problem unfolding before them. Teens need DIRECTION and GOALS set before them that will point them to a successful future. From what, I can see, many directionless and insecure individuals flock to FB. Parents, help you children keep a balance and a focus in their lives, and too much time on FB, is NOT what they need.

Yes, I agree. It's all about them. They mistakenly think everyone is waiting to hear all about what they are doing or what they did that day.
It's arrogance at the least.
Who really cares what someone had for lunch, what their children did, what they are reading, what they are planning to do, and that they are " stopped at a red light ".
I do not like FB. It is a boring repeat of the same thing.

It's a popularity contest, A place where people vent hostility, put their business in public, fight with their spouse, and family. And a place to tell the world all about you that never goes away for the rest of your life. What a voluntary contribution of worthless information to most and a tool for criminals and those who enjoy tormenting others.

After a woman told me she took me off her friend's list over what she heard about a mental bi polar condition I mentioned and lectured me on how people who are mental and Autistic are not allowed on her page. This was bothersome coming from a woman who has worked for Lamar County Court system. She even made jokes about past cases she thought was funny. Her lawyer husband's money and her behavior not only represent what Lamar County hires. It shows what a hot bed of hostility that exist in our judicial system and how the court system does not take their jobs professionally. After even one such encounter you never want to use FACEBOOK again. Ironically she used my psychiatrist before and has been reported many times for abuse on the page to others. She is just an entertainer at anyones expense. Perhaps I'm doing the same thing to her, but I pray she gets better. I do not read any reply so don't bother saying you are bi polar and should be bared from Topix also. I never read a reply here except from certain people's who seem to be consistent with logical answers or information. Enough rambling.

There was one commentator on the news that stated that social networks like facebook are going to be the fall of our society. More people argue and are bullied because of it. There are more cases of infidelity due to social networking noted in his report. It is so sad that something that is meant for old friends to catch up is used to abuse and pick on people. This is such a sad situation

Evaluate what works for you. Some of the same people who were loving on it last year, are the ones bashing on it this year.

It's very good for networking and advertising. It's good for finding friends and realitives that you haven't seen in a while.

I've not really had any good discussions on FB, but I have seen some really funny posts that have made my day. It's a passive/aggressives heaven.

If people are on FB though, it is their business. What their preferences are are their business. FB is no worse than TV, or even exercise. Anything you use for a purpose, or do for entertainment can be pushed to any extreme can be unhealthy.

FB can be horrific to the self-esteem of young people. Just at a time in their lives when emotions and hormones make them confused, along comes old fakebook and does a real number on them. If they are "defriended", their world falls apart, or if somebody says something negative, they might explode. Really, it amounts to a FANTASY WORLD. The teens need strong friends and adults to surround them and help them along their life's journey. They DO NOT need the drama of fakebook, even though they think they are missing out, without it.

The answer to that is education. Even adults need it, on social media as well as home life.

Mothers get on facebook and start devaluing their own kids on their own page and degrading them.(I have seen this) One mother defriended their kid, one mother blocked their own kid.

I saw one mom berate her 30 something year old son for a picture, because she did not like where his hands were.(It was nothing bad. She was just being over the top) You were not raised like this, yada, yada, yada. I think I would have said, mom....you need to either block me, or I can block you.

Family members use it as a tool to gang up on family members they don't see eye to eye with, tell their biased side of the story, an not allowing other family members to express their side without blocking them.

The kids seem to do better than many adults.

The difference is I think that kids get some education on social media at school, where as some of the older people never had this to deal with, nor did they ever receive any sort of training or etiquette.

This is a time where a kid could teach a parent a thing or two, instead of the parent encouraging bad behavior on social media, because they don't know any better.

I think it would help if you had to take a test about it prior to being able to get onto social media, that includes federal law information, so that one could be assured they knew they were doing wrong when they do it.

You have to take a gun safety course before you can go hunting. Emotional wounds take longer to heal than gun shot wounds, and I think suicides at this stage of the game are far outweighing gun related accidents.

Put the blame where it belongs. Facebook and social media is not the problem.

Individuals, are the problem and to blame.

What the commentator was saying is it's the gun's fault not the shooter's. It's not Facebook, it is the person behind the computer behaving badly who is at fault.
