One week ago I purchased a car from a local dealership...Talking with the financing person and being presented with a protection plan for paint protection, leather seat and carpets protection, gap insurance etc. Due to paying 24,000 for my dream vehicle I
would purchase the extra protection that was not covered under
regular warranty. I paid the amount down was told how much my payment would change and signed my life away..lol
This week called to get vehicle in for the paint protection to be told he would call back..I then was told he had made a mistake when
he sold me the plan that the bank that financed my car would not do it
not sure why...but anyway..that made a big difference in making the big purchase ( protection plan)to protect my investment...so he said that unless I pay all of the protection plan cost upfront..Im SOL.If anyone knows how all of this works please help..Can I back out of the deal now that this has happened..Is there anything I can hold the dealership to concerning the sale of the car I purchased because of the extra protection coverage of my investment..I hope I have made sense of all of this..What Now?

If there are any changes made on your signed contract it would make the contract null and void. Therefore you do not have a binding contract. Some dealers even make you sign two contracts if they are unsure that the finance company will carry the whole amount (including aftermarket warranties) to cover their butts. So unless you have signed one without the plan then you should have the option to back out of the deal.

aftermarket protection plans sold by dealers are as useful as lips on a chicken, seems a tad deceptive, how many contracts did you sign...
