$6 Gas?
Posted on February 21, 2012 by Cowboy Byte

Oil is plentiful as new discoveries continue to be made, natural gas exploration and production is up, the dollar has strengthened, itís an election year, and so gasoline prices are going which direction? Down? Well, no, according to the experts, gasoline prices are rising and could top $6 per gallon by summer.

Each of the above conditions usually results in lower prices at the gas pump. If supply goes up on constant demand, then price should at least remain steady or go down. As new discoveries are made then supply goes up and at constant demand, price should go down. Even as production lags discovery, markets build in the worldwide supply figures. Natural gas production is soaring allowing for cheaper substitution for oil.

Thank God 'we' have a president who will take control of the situation and stop this from hurting 'our' country ...(LOL).

OH NO!, I forgot! Bush isn't president anymore is he! I guess this is some of that great 'hope & change' we were promised...

Was listening to one of the news programs yesterday about this particular subject. They were saying we have plenty of domestic fuel in this country to more then take care of our needs without importing any oil from the middle east. The biggest problem is, we pump it here, we refine it here, then it's sold and shipped off to other countries like China.

It also stated that the oil companies cannot raise the price of gas without government approval. If you think about it, the higher the price gas is, the more our government will collect in taxes. Who's benefitting here, not the consumer?!?

They're not going to be happy until we're paying $10 a gallon. This crisis has been manufactured, and our current administration is right in the middle of it.

If gas reaches 6.00 a gallon by summer, I guess Obama & his family are the only ones that will be taking vacations. Guess who will be paying for those!!!!

Maybe this election we need to vote for HOPE 'TO' CHANGE. These fuel prices are BS nad should not be allowed to be happening. There is no shortage!

SSSSHHHHH Quiet. We can't talk about this until after the election. Besides, there is no silver bullet and the President has NO control over oil and gas prices. That is unless his last name is Bush.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Oil is not a fossil fuel, as we have been brought to believe, but rather a replenishable by-product of the mantle that is spun out by centrifugal force. Google it. Big government will not allow gas prices to drop and remain reasonably low because that is how they control us!

Nobama is now touting drilling, after shutting down drilling. Leases are well down in numbers compared to a year ago, and oil that is being drilled here is going to China? What a crock...

The oil pipeline that is trying to come through Lamar County is to carry oil to the Gulf coast to be loaded onto tankers and then sent to China. What the hell are our state reps and senstors doing????

The Tonight Show With Jay Leno

President Obama said he understands that rising prices are making people worried and fearful. Especially in his re-election campaign. They're really fearful.

I've seen them afford it in two other countries a dollar higher.

We have to take what is given to us, and like it. There is just not much anyone seems to be willing to do about it.

Nope, don't have to like it. Don't have to accept it.
