loud noise

does anyone know what that REALLY loud noise was this morning? it lasted for about 5 minutes, and it sounded like a jet engine! we work on north main street and we all heard it loud and clear! just wondering if anyone could tell us what it is??

The steam generation plant out on North Main, it is common

I heard it too! I went outside and looked, but I didn't see anything. I'm curious too!

That is strange! I hope nothing bad happened. If it is that steam plant?, I hope no one was burned! Scary! There are many businesses and factories on Center street also.

I have heard they are shut down for re-tooling. I remember when the new plant was built by KC, they had to "blow out" the pipes before they could start the turbines. That noise could be heard in just about every part of town. The description sounds perfectly logical, and IS common at least when under construction or renovation.

Yea Cibil has always been full of Hot Air,...So yea that was probably Her letting off Her steam.

The Whistle that the feed co. has on center st. may have malfunctioned this morn. and made that noise.

I live in murrieta between clinton keith rd and scott off the 215 and I heard they noise, sounded like a plane was landing, don't think I would be able to hear it if it was off north main steam generation plant
