A popular doomsday belief is that the world will end on December 21 or December 23, 2012, based on this being the year the Mayan Long Count calendar system ends. There is no reliable evidence, however, that ancient Mayans held any association between this date and a major cataclysmic event.

the mayan calender buried by cortez and his gang was discovered and unearthed. it is 12 feet in diameter and 3 feet thick and weight is measured in tons. It has no end and therefore is perpetual. If you could read it you would find very accurate cosmic events both past and future. When the spaniards first walked into the city that now lies under mexico city, they thought they were dreaming for the city was more beautiful than any in the world. and what did tha spaniards do? with the blessing of the church in rome, they destroyed everything. buildings, artifacts and enslaved the indians. they also murdered hundreds of thousands of indians. Run out twice, cortez returned with men and cannons. Pancho villa said "we ran them out twice and now a spaniard found in mexico will die by firing squad. and for that superstition known as the catholic church they all should die. we did not ask them to come here and mingle their blood with ours"

th mayan:

Just FYI, Cortez, and Mexico City, have nothing to do with the Mayans....Aztecs.....completel y different people.

Also, when Cortez came back to the city the last time, it was with a hundred or so Spaniards and thousands of Inidans who were keen to rub out the Aztecs for the brutal nature of their empire.

Still, nothing to do with the Maya.

in order to prove your supposition, all of mexico would have to be destroyed for the answer lies approximately 35 feet underground. cortez was very small (his bones proved him to have infantism) and yet wore a huge codpiece to make up for it. the whole point of my writing is that the mayans were ahead of all the rest of mankind in their knowledge of math, the solar system, etc. example: the mayans knew that venus appeared twice in the night long before any other civilazation. and yet those brilliant spaniards thought they were justified in rape, torture, murder, and infecting mayan women with their sexually transmitted diseases. and yes, maya men killed themselves, mayan women jumped from high cliffs with their children to escape, and men refused to have sex with their wives for they would be slaves. the shame of what was done can never be removed. remember montezuma?

Why do you suppose God would reveal to a pagan culture His date for the end of time?

no, the prediction of 12-23-12 is wrong. the mayan calender is more accurate than the one we know. The Mayan calender has no end for it is defined as perpetuity(sic) what it reveals is the past for hundreds of years as well into the future for hundreds of years. What it records is the cosmic events of the past and of the future. The maya did not msyteriously dissapear for there are millions of maya in mexico, guatamala, and briezel. and yes they were there when cortez and his gang killed 90 percent of inca indians and lied when it was reported they were heathens so the world would not know the truth. the truth is they believed the world had been destroyed 4 times and the 5th world would be destroyed by cataclysmic eartquakes and floods on DECEMBER 24, 2011. the problem is that paleface men were just flat unable to "read" the codices correctly.

glad to hear from you. read the reply to above post. the maya left the lowlands and went to the mountains. it has been written by those who went to mexico and lived amongst th maya, learned their language and their culture. no end to their calender nor civilization. Also, mixed blood of spanish/indians are known as landins(sic). in guatamala in the 1980's, the mixed breeds murdered thousands of maya with the approval of United States companies who owned coffee and other agriculter plantations. remember the U.S. jounalist murdered there? Jack Lemmon was in the movie produced about it. All maya were descibed as communist and guerralas(sic) Ronald Regan sent 5 tanks at 5 million each as well unkown number of t-37 aircraft to guatamala in 1981. t-37's were modified to use as bombers. what did the maya want? better wages and living conditions. In the maya culture, war was fought by their leaders, kings and nobles. the idea of drafting young men to fight wars was incomprehensible to the maya. AND if a king was captured by an enemy, he would be sacrificed and his kingdom taken over by the enemy. wish we had that today, would there have been war fought by bush/chaney? There are books in the Paris public library printed in 1990's that are more truthful than those in tha 1970's. TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.

I wonder where you learned your history.

You claim that "cortez and his gang" rubbed out the Inca.

It was not Cortez..it was Pizzaro, who happend to stumble in during a civil war.
