I like Paris. I like the parks, the movies, some of the stores, and the eating estgablishments. I guess I am easily entertained, because I don't sit and gripe that there's nothing to do. I live outside of Paris in an unincorporated area, and I would not live in Paris because of the politics. That constant hassle drives me crazy (with the City Manager, etc.) I do all my shopping there, and I did live there several years ago for 3 years, although I did not own a home there. I don't want to live in an incorporated area and conform to all the rules.

I really like Paris - not too small, not too big. Very friendly people, most of them. They do have a lot of turmoil in their government, don't they?

it is a sad thing when you are mentally ill for the last two years...here's the thing, lamar county texas has helped me a lot. the people are understanding at lakes reg mhmr and i can not thank them enough for all their goodness.
my problem is: for 12 years my husband has had at least four heart attacks, quad by-pass, double pneumonia, a mass in his side, fluid in his lungs, copd, swelling of hands and legs(expecially the leg that was cut for five vessels for his heart)being treated with two meds for depression and other illnesses.we filed for ssi for him last year. this takes a very long time. all of our possessions are gone, but i still have him.
we received help with food. i am getting some snap.
i can not convince the doctors he is seeing to at least fill out the form for DHS so that he can get snap, also. so we have to eat food meant for one person and half it. any suggestions on what we can do? we are really in a bind for these forms to be filled out by a doctor. no one knows what it is like for each of us as humans unless you have been there and i just don't understand the dr's way of thinking. thanks for listening, i feel better already.

My husband had 5 bypasses, also with complications, and continued to work. If the doctor will not fill out forms, it must be because he doesn't consider your husband to be disabled.

There are food pantries in Paris. You can also get bulk food items from Christians In Action, but it would mean you have to cook. Christians In Action provides free lunches for anyone in need. Salvation Army provides free dinners. If gasoline is your problem, move into town, within walking distance. Lots of low-rent housing is available in Paris.

It is sad when a family man works so hard to provide for his family. There was a person who worked at Honda in Paris. He was a great employee, went in early, worked late, and even did anything that needed to be done even though it was not in his job requirements. Then a person who has no idea what they are doing is hired. The numbers for the dealership goes down as soon as this person arrives. Why fire the person who worked their ass off everyday. Even worked the day that their first grandbaby was born. The sad part is...people in Paris can "work what they got" and get what they want but a person who works the hardest to provide for their family gets the shitty end of the deal and has to go home to their family and not even have a reason for why he lost his job. When your boss cant even tell you exactly why they are letting you go...something is wrong. I will NOT go back to Honda of Paris because they way they treat their employees and the way they have no one to service my car who knows what the hell they are doing. If you want good service done to your car and know that your not goin to be screwed over I suggest that you dont have your car serviced at Honda of Paris anymore.

I cannot believe the doctors and healthcare available in this town, the south campus is so dirty and the staff is so rude they have no compassion or respect at all. The doctor comes in ask a couple of questions never does a physical exam then comes up with a bogus explanation of what he documents and reports is wrong never addressing the issues that you sought treatment for in the first place, this is after not being seen till 10 hours after you first arrived. Then you receive a call the next day from administration you must return a radiologist is waiting for you for a cat scan having said this they assure you they didn't do anything wrong. So you drop everything and go as ask still never get a report but x- ray tech ask when your scheduled for surgery Wow. Finally get hold of medical records and guess what a variance report has been prepared (incident) report due to error on doctors treatment ,really omg unbelievable , still adminstaration insists they did nothing wrong dare I ask why then why a variance report ?

Hahahahaha that wuz for anyone complementing Paris. As for everyone else, here's my number. 666 (coincidentally, Obama's fun number) Paris has the most turrible school evar, and gas prices are exceptionally high. And plus, if you smoke weed, you get arrested imagine the shock on my face.
