The Sept. 2 case that resulted in the shooting death of Paris man at 485 14th St. S.E. is scheduled to go before the grand jury this month, according to Paris Police Chief Bob Hundley.
Dustin Glen Shelton, 30, was pronounced dead at Paris Regional Medical Center after a disturbance and shooting early that morning, Hundley identified the shooter as Don Bradley Taylor.
Thank you so much for posting this information. I'm glad to finally see the shooter's name in the newspaper, and that it's going before the grand jury. Thank you.

Do you know when the grand jury convenes? Thank you.

I am with you Sammy, I am glad to see that it is being thoroughly investigated. I do not know the individuals and I do not care what kind of background or history they may have, I just believe that if a crime was committed, justice should be served and if a crime was not committed, an innocent person should not be condemned. I also know that the shooter, (Don Bradley Taylor) as of today, has never been arrested or formally charged, but apparently the D.A. believes he has sufficient evidence for a murder charge and now he just has to prove it to the grand jury for the indictment to bring formal charges and make an arrest. I am interested to see how this turns out and will update. Thank You.

I served on the grand jury a few years ago and all but one case was indicted, so yes, the D.A. must have some pretty good evidence. I know what some of it is, but was asked not to talk about it, and I'm glad I haven't seen it revealed here. Since Taylor was never arrested, I was afraid that the whole thing was being swept under the rug, so I am relieved to find this out. Again, thank you.

You're welcome. There are many cases out there that have been swept under the rug, I guess it all depends on the investigator, whether or not they are biased, just there for a paycheck and don't give a dang cuz they are paid the same regardless or really passionate about what they do. I am assuming gathering what facts and evidence they did find was difficult and time consuming and wanted to have it all in perspective before proceeding. We will see when the grand jury returns with their bill.

I remember wrote:
Those are two seperate events. Busty Haley was married to JoAnna Keys, they had a son together, they divorced and she married Jerry Pitcock. Jerry adopted their son Mitch. Then Busty married Susie, they had a daughter together, Rae Ann. Susie said Busty molested Rae Ann, she accused her sons also of molesting Rae Ann. By the way she later falsely accused her next husband of this and he is serving 99 years in prison. Susie moved to Midland and was arrested there on another charge for making false statements to a police officer. The story about the kidnapping is Jamie Haley, she was a teenager I think, but I don't know any details.
I am Susie. Some of what was said is true, like I was married 2 Busty. The only part that is false is that I was arrested in Midland for making false statement to police. So you need to get your facts straight.

Murder is a Federal offense, I bet the Federal Grand Jury heard the evidence. The Federal Grand Jury for this district is in Sherman. Trial could be here, unless the lawyer for Taylor has it moved but he must come up with valid reasons to do so.

Dustin's Mom called us this afternoon. I felt it was MURDER from day 1. So much for all of those that said it was justifiable
self-defense. It will be nice for the family to see some justice.
So, there is a warrant out for his arrest. I wonder how much the bail will be? Looks like the trial will begin this summer. It's a shame it takes so long.
I really appreciate your updates. Regards.
